evan's wish trip report, snow white, dumbo, and heat!

at this point it was about nine million degrees. :cool2:

we wanted to try to ride rockin roller coaster and tower of terror, but the lines were huge, and i was feeling really guilty about leaving evan and mom at the village, so we stopped by a store to get the gifts grump needed and left the park by 11:30.

but on the way out grump got a picture at some star wars thing. some star wars dude was there right after we were.

at about 4 we got ready to head back to the park together. we decide to sport our awesome peace mickey head shirts (thanks wendy:lovestruc) and we piled back into the van.

ev was starting to ask about mickey mouse a lot. i was hopeful this would be a good place to see him. but of course the first thing he wanted to do was eat!!!

we headed in to the sci fi dine in theatre. i had always wanted to eat here. we had a few minutes of a wait even with our ADR, but it wasn't too bad. ev enjoyed watching the servers on rollerskates:)

once we got to the theater, i realized how cool it was...a little cheesy, but super fun! we got a car table, so ev and grump sat in the front and mom and i in the back.

our server was not exactly the friendliest we had, but the food was yummy (i got a bruschetta chicken sandwich with cucumber salad, so did mom, and ev had mac and chees. i coudln't see what grump had;)) and ev really liked his sprite with the glow in the dark ice cube.

after a good meal, we headed towards all the stuff we figured ev would like!

ok, so a little too much time has passed for me to remember exactly what order we did things in... but we saw some little einsteins out in the greeting area...june and quincy, i believe, but ev was not interested in getting a picture with them.

we saw the voyage of the little mermaid, and he really liked it. we also got to see the playhouse disney show, he LOVED it!!!

this is him loving the playhouse disney show!:)

sweet photo of the kids holding hands!

wow, a hour shopping trip, you must of really cruised through the store pretty quick

happy you and grump got some time together, you shouldn't feel guilty at all, you deserve a little bit of grown up fun too!

we love Sci-Fi too!

after seeing the playhouse show, we decided to try to find bickey bouse...we did find him and got in line to see him. ev was trying real hard to be patient, but the excitement was killing him. a really nice cast member named david overheard me tell evan that he just had to "wait his turn" and he said "maybe not...come with me" and he led us to the front of the line:wizard::wizard:

evan was SOOOOO excited!!! i was too!

after this, he was ready to go!!

we saved the best for almost last... we made our way to toy story mania! i will say i was glad we had the GAC for this one because the line was really long. evan was so excited going through the ride because he recognized all the stuff. he was having a tough time waiting, because he was just so excited. we had to wait a few minutes while they loaded a wheelchair car for him, but it was worth it! he laughed and cackled and pushed the buttons on the game...it was his favorite ride, i think of the whole trip!:thumbsup2

(by the way, he was going to kennywood- a local park- with eric today and was already asking for the woody-buzz ride...uh oh!)

the only thing that could top the woody and buzz ride would be meeting woody and buzz in person...the really cool thing about waiting in line to meet them was that woody's picture takin' corral was full of cute picture spots and characters he knew. here are a few of the fun shots we got...

the real stinky pete!

evan was so excited to meet woody and buzz! and they were both just lovely to him, and to me. they took tons of time "talking" to him and hugging him and giving him fives:lovestruc

and i guess buzz usually does his autograph with a stamper, but he even wrote in the book himself..."to infinity and beyond"...it was so special...this was the one that got me a little teary:)

woody was so nice!

in all the times i have been to wdw, i have never seen fantasmic...but i really wanted us to see it this time...it was a good call!

we got some cotton candy and drinks and a good seat in the back row for ev's chair. the show was awesome! ev laughed and clapped and sang! i did too! and he was super happy when snow white came out on a boat at the end!!! i got a few videos, but not too many pics...i did get this one, which i think explains why even kept referring to it as the "pink show"...

easily the best day of our trip so far!!!

on the way out of the ampitheatre, evan wanted a light up toy. i told him he could have one and we tried to pick something out. i was showing him all the mickey stuff, but he wanted the horrible skull thing that had a mouth that went up and down like it was laughing. nothing to do with mickey mouse, nothing to do with disney at all, but he loved it. $14 later, he and "skull" left the park really happy. "skull" is one of his favorite souvenirs for the trip and he is still dragging it around here at home!!!

hope you have enjoyed so far...hoping to get our last day done tomorrow!!

great photos of Ev with his buddies and "bickey" so happy he was able to enjoy so many fun things in spite of the heat!

Love it!!! :rotfl:Cracks me up how we mom's can gently prod, "here's Mickey"...but they like "skull" better. What a good mom you are to let him choose. I'm enjoying your report. Haven't been to Fantasmic in years, maybe we will try it on Bridgie's trip.

Somehow I missed the start of your trip report. I am not sure where to begin. I loved him meeting Snow White at CRT! The kiss mark is great. What an honor to be able to start the run! The photo with Mickey is fantastic! The photo with Woody and Buzz is great too! Evan seems to have held out in the heat pretty well. My son also melts quickly in the heat as he cannot regulate his body temperature. Thank you so much for sharing your trip. It makes me so happy to see a little guy who has been through so much having so much fun!:banana::banana:
