Eurostar Seats

First Choice finally got back to me yesterday afternoon, to tell me that Disney were unable to do anything to help me regarding the Eurostar situation, but that they would make sure our room at Sequoia Lodge was wheelchair friendly. As a last resort, I sent a reply to the e-mail response I had received from Eurostar, and the results have been amazing. After several messages backwards and forwards, a guy called Mike asked for my phone number & called me. He has been absolutely brilliant, and although the wheelchair slots were already booked up, he has re-located us into table seats, all together in the family area for each leg of our journey. He said he was also sending us some vouchers to get ourselves a drink on the train, which was a totally brilliant gesture. He was so nice & helpful, and I really feel that he deserves some recognition for the way he has dealt with this.

I know that others have had problems with Eurostar, and I would advise you to persevere, and supply as much detail as possible if you find yourself in a similar situation, but hopefully, in my case, all's well that ends well.

Really can't wait now - only 12 more sleeps (although I don't think I'll get too much sleep the night before we go!!)

Last time I went with Eurostar (in Feb) me and my DH were separated, not too bad for us but this also meant that a family of 6 were also split up giving me and DH one of their small children each! We soon swapped! Good as it happened as the child who would have been next to me went on to be sick.

For my next trip in May I have used Rail Europe as you get to see your seat numbers before commiting to the booking, although I did have to go through the process a couple of times until it came up with seats together(why?). Also seem to be able to book further in advance online than with Eurostar.

Had a minor panic when the tickets arrived, as one set of seats from Lille to Disney had numbers in the 90's, but when we looked at the seating plan, coach 16 , so coaches are numbered differentlyonly went up to seats in the 80's. I sent a quick note back to Mike at Eurostar to ask if these seats were in the cattle truck, but his reply revealed that this section of the journey was on the French railway, where coaches are numbered differently, so panic over. Got nice table seats now, which will be much better for the kids as they will be able to draw and play games etc.

I just had a look at their site, and isn't that geat?! Why can't the Eurostar site offer that!?
