Eurostar and Luggage.

Ok - I've packed and am now starting to PANIC!!

We've never travelled by Eurostar and wondered if anyone had any information on the luggage facalities on the train? We usual go by car so can chuck everything in, but as I've decided to pack half the bags with food (according to DH )to help with the euros, I'm worried that we won't have a space for the luggage when we get on the train.

We're going from Ashford and am worried there won't be any space. We're in coach 17 if thats any help? I've tried the Eurostar website but that gives limited information.

Basically there is a luggage rack at each end of your coach, i always get on at ashford and have had no trouble fiting my luggage on the designated area you can also put luggage in the over head bit where your sitting.

I'm in coach 17 on the way home and 15 on the way there.

How poor the exchange rate is I decided to stock up on bits and bobs to munch on round the park. Also as it's gonna be so cold I've packed extra clothes. DD has had to forget taking her cute little red polka dot suitcase for one bigger - she will insist on taking all her DLP hoodies,t-shirts and jumpers plus her 4 fave cuddlies!
Everyone may have to wear several layers of clothes on the way back so I can fit all the pressies in the suitcases!!

There seemed no problem with luggage space on the way back last week, despite everybody being loaded down with Christmas presents. The train manger did keep coming over to announce that 'prams and boogies must not block the gangway' which made us smile, but all suitcases seemed to fit in.
