Eurostar advice needed

I am pricing up a halloween visit to DLRP so tonight I called Eurostar to find out when the direct train would be on sale for the end of October. The very nice lady i spoke to said she could book them now for me but the tickets would be 110.00 (pounds - sorry my symbol isn't working!) each. I think that is a bit pricey especially this far in advance.
Should I go for it as we definitely want to use the direct eurostar service, or should I wait and check out the package prices?
I am a shareholder and my OH can also get a discount as his employer is a Disney sponsor.
If anyone can help me make up my mind I'd be grateful.

Just my opinion, but I think that's the cheapest you're likely to get them Rosie. When we went for Halloween last October we hadn't phoned in advance but tried to buy them on the first day they were available on-line 6 months in advance and they were a ridiculous price. Can't remember exactly how much each but I know the total return price for 5 of us came to over £1100. I watched the prices for a month but they never reduced, all that happened was the seats sold out. That's silly money, even for Leisure Select, so we flew instead and the savings covered our accommodation for the week.


My brother-in-law tried to book a package for the same week in October as us back in March and they were asking for huge supplements for the Eurostar. Luckily, he's only got small children so was able to take them out of school and went the first week of October instead.

September is not peak season, so would be cheaper.

We paid £105 each for returns at Easter, booking as soon as they went on sale (like you they phoned me up), I think you are unlikely to get cheaper tickets at peak times

Oh i didnt know the price went by seasons.
I just assumed the cheapest seats on all trains were 32.50 each way.

If that's the case, then there must be very few available for Easter, as I must have been one of the first in line

I think the cheapest seats are in the family section im not sure because i have the same seats for this trip as to what i had on my last trip.

Thanks for the replies. After saying we definitely want to go on Direct Eurostar we don't want to pay what it will cost! It is a great service and I love the feeling of getting off the train and being right there.
I think we will cash in some Tesco CC Coupons and use Eurotunnel though and save our cash for spending in the shops and restaurants.
If we could have got bargain tickets Eurostar would be first choice but as my OH has said he will drive we'll probably do the budget option.

Rosie, you do know you can convert Clubcard points to air miles, and use those to book Eurostar?

They just told me that coach 18 is the family section of the train and ive been seated there before and the seats are the same price as the ones ive got now and the same seats.
Maybe there cheap because its the last coach on the train.

It's not always the last coach on the train, we've been as far back as coach 25, I'm sure! You've got me thinking as to whether they were the direct trains or not now... I'll need to try and find some old tickets and see.

our coach was the last one, i didnt think they had more than 18 coaches.
Then again im no expert as only used eurostar once
