Euro Magic Med 7 Night Cruise Aug 20 - 27 2011

Hello, I'm the Ellen,

We've just booked this cruise 2 weeks ago. We're on GTY inside.
We had booked the cruise on the 27th on the ship last year when we did a 11-night Med on the Magic in August and were doubting what we would do in the week before, finally we decided to do our first b2b so we're very excited.

Introducing my Family:
Ellen, DH, DD15 and DD9. We're from the Netherlands so it is easy for us to fly into Barcelona what we will do on Friday before our cruise. Last year we stayed in the Novotel City centre which we liked. (Also because there is a shopping Mall acros the street with a Disney shop and a supermarket were we stocked movie candies, candies for the kidsclub castmemebers and Cava).

This will be our 3th cruise and our second in the Med. Last year we did an excursion with Disney in Tunis and in Valetta, the Harbours we do not visit this time.

This year's intineary:
- Barcelona: Early to the ship to see if we can get an upgrade and enjoy the lunch at Parrot Cay, if necessary make dining arrangements, Salon ressies etc.Girls go to their clubs.
- Villefranche: Tender, enjoy the tendering to the beautiful city of Villefranche. There will be a market directly on the shore that we will pay a visit. There are lovely café's in the Harbour and it is a nice and pretty town to stroll around. Early back on the ship as we hope to be able to scheule in some massages and girls can then join their clubs
- La Spezia Tender leave with an early tender
Buy Birg tickets for Rome and shop around in this beatiful small italian town. Last year we did Cinque Terre perhaps we take a boat to one of the cities. (Docks right next to the tendering spot) Early back on the boat a kind of sea day.
- Cittavechia leave as early as possible and take train to Rome an do Rome ourselves
- Naples visit Herculaneum and Capri on our own. (Herculaneum by train, then train to coast and boat to Capri and back to Naples by boat).
- Sea day Brunch at Palo's and enjoy the ship
- Malta beautiful city been there several times before will do the harbour on our own and visit a beach with the girls
- Barcelona, hop of for an hour in the morning and then back on the ship again.....

I'm interested in tours which others already have organised so if you have 4 spots left on a tour feel free to PM me.

I'm a Disney lover for live and the kids are also pretty addicted. We visit Disneyland Paris on a regular base as we've had a yearpass for 10 years now. Been several times to Disneyworld in Florida.

If you have plans to vist Disneyland Paris before the cruise then we recommend the Marriott near Disney. This compex has small 2 or 3 bedroom villa's and is really nice.

Really looking forward to enjoy this cruise and what a nice welcome we had on the Facebook page!

Ellen

:welcome: :rainbow: :welcome:

Welcome Ellen, really glad you are sailing with us. WoW, b2b eh ! So, this means you won't get off the ship when we will  Anyway really happy for all of you :woohoo:

Regarding you question on private tours I know ddleffers and amystevekai&bump where looking into it, I see you have quite knowledge of the ports so that is defenatly a plus.

I'm Manny BTW and we have alreaddy met on Favebook page but did have to give you your official welcome here and officializing you membership as an Euro Mouseketeers Family. :cool1:

There's a whole lot going on among our group so check it out on first page of this thread and feel free to ask. I'm arranging the silicone wristbands and there is still time for you to get them; just let me know.

Once again Welcome Ellen and family to our cruise and I guess we'll meet in about 97 days now.

:welcome: :rainbow: :welcome:

Another welcome to Ellen, Marc and family .... what are your daughters called Ellen?

A back to back .. oh I'm jealous!!! :headache:

She'll be comming round Gibraltar when she comes...

The Disney Magic set sail yesterday on her TransAtlantic Cruise on her way to the Mediterranean. She's comming to pick us up in about 96 days now.:cool1:

This is the time that all your planning start to get serious; also for Us next sunday shore excursions and on board activities open up at 12:01 am EDT; and it ussually is like when Apple throws a new gadget, people camp around the stores to get it first, in this case, people will camp around their computers to get those very desired Palo reservations or special things that you have been wishing for. :lmao:

Do note when you make your reservation and you are 100% sure of doing it you have to confirm it (on line process) otherwise you might loos it.

Beware of this song: :rotfl2:

If you say this at least once it will stick to your head for a week:

She'll be comming round Gibraltar when she comes
She'll be comming round Gilbraltar when she comes

She'll be comming round Gibraltar
She'll be comming round Gilbratar

She'll be comming round Gilbrat when she comes...

Bis

:cheer2: 96 Days to Go Euro Mouseketeers, 96 Days to Go :cheer2:

Hello. My name is Jerry. My wife, Linda and I were planning to be on the September 3rd cruise which was cancelled after the whole ship was booked by a private party. We are in the process of trying to reorganize our trip and expect to be taking this cruise instead. Judging by the enthusiasm here this may work out better for us. We look forward to meeting all of you.

Best regards,
Jerry and Linda

p.s. I sent a Facebook request to join the Euro Mousketeers. My profile picture is me rappelling down a cliff (rappelling = abseiling in many parts of the world).

Hi Danielle :cool1:

Are you on the cruise too?

The Euro Mouseketeers is the name for our group on the 20th August Med cruise, we just came up with the name ourselves and hey presto :wizard:

You can be one too if you're sailing with us :dance3:

:wave2: Hi Danielle, very glad you are sailing the Mediterranean. To answer your question about Euro Mouseketeers:

Euro Mouseketeers is the name we gave to our group on this particular Disney Cruise: Western Mediterranean 7 Nights Cruise on The Disney Magic August 20th, 2011. :yay:

We are a group of people that have met here on the Disboard and also on the Dibb (Disney with a British Accent) and we have one thing in common:

:cool1: To have the best Disney Cruise Ever. :cool1:

Our main goal is to help eachother with cruising tips and with other people's Mediterranean experiences so when we are there we can enjoy it the fullest.

We also have meetings to greet each other before the cruise, during and after the cruise. We have T-shirts with logo, Fish Extender Exchange, Wristbands to identify ourselves everywhere (there's about 60 of us so far including children and teens) :woohoo:

We also have our Facebook page which is private for security and privacy reasons and we are from many places around the world, US, UK, I'm from Venezuela.

If you and your family are on the August 20th DCL Mediterranean Cruise you are very much welcome to join us and you and your family can become Euro Mouseketeers. :rotfl:

Wishing you a very happy Cruise planning Danielle pixiedust:

We are 100% booked on al the excursions we had planned. :dance3:

I'm glad I did it at this time, 12:30 am, there were already some excursions not available. Who said the ship was empty ? :rolleyes1

I was not able to book Palo b/c dear doughter Liliam still shows as minor therefore couldn't get her on the reservation so I just didn't bother with it; after all, we are going to Italy and probably will be eating great italian food, I hope. :rotfl:

Don't forget to CONFIRM your reservation or you will loose it.

90 days untill sailing Euro Mouseketeers, 90 Days :woohoo:

Do you think I should put this in a new thread?

I am sorting out a Penpal Exchange for the kids on Cruise. If you are interested please let me know. I am thinking it would be easiest to exchange email addresses. But if your kids would prefer to write letters that is also good.
I already have my dd Gemma Age 8 and Emmalyn (nearly 9) exhanging emails.

Was wondering if people want to join then I can try to match you out to children near their ages. I know that my younger dd wants to join in but I would need to help her as she is only 5.

So please Message me with you childs contact details age, and if they would be happy emailing both boys and girls. Also what sort of age range you would be happy with Eg I think gemma would be fine with younger children but anything older than say 10 would probably not have much in common with her.

I spoke with my cruise co-ordinator and we confirmed our booking for this cruise. We will be disembarking from the Ruby Princess 12 night cruise from Venice to Barcelona on Saturday morning, August 20th, and then schlepping our bags down the pier to board the Euro Musketeers Med Magic Cruise. It will be my tenth cruise (and Linda's eleventh) and the first Disney Cruise for both of us.

We have joined the Facebook group and are very excited to meet all of the Euro Musketeers and experiencing the Magic, first hand.

Regards,
Jerry (and Linda)
