I'm here too - its just I only have 3 weeks until our Christmas vacation and I am busily organising the Fish Extenders for our Christmas cruise meet thread - so haven't been thinking much about the med yet

But just you wait until 8th Jan - the day we get home - and it will be all about the med for me then too!! (need something to focus on after returning from the World - we have been planning this christmas trip for 2 1/2 years and I know I am going to have major depression once its all over - especially coming back to the January weather here in the UK!!)

I'm more than happy to help with the design ideas etc but cannot commit to getting prices or ordering the wristbands as our website, FB page and the cocktail meet are going to take some up keep and some organising but I don't mind helping

The link is in Hong Kong, I have never used it nor have any reference from their work. It's just to see designs and options although it seems legit. I'm sure there are others options maybe in UK or US.

You and your family are going to have a wanderful Cristmas for sure. It's my favorite time of the year in Orlando.

If it's in your plans on Cristmat Eve Magic Kingdom fills up around 10 am. So plan to be there very early, also it's the most crowded day of the year.

Oh, the pool water in the water park (Blizard Beach) is heated.

The wristbands sound like fun, get a price Mel and we'll take it from there. I'm not very artisitic and I've never cruised before, so I don't mind what they look like. Do we have lanyards as well, do we need them? I need to sort out DS with prirate gear, anyone got any photo's of what they all wear on pirate night.

On our last cruise we used lanyards the whole time, to keep our KTTW card in. So we didnt need to take a purse around the ship. So I would recommend either buying one on board or taking a trip to the disney store as they have started selling them. We got our dds pirate costume off of ebay, it cost about 8 pounds. We got given a few bits of pirate related gifts in our FE presents. DH and I just took a couple of waist coats with us and a white shirt. and wore that with jeans. Dh got the pluto pirate ears and that was just about it

Lanyards are nice too and practical as you say.

We got lanyards from DCL on our last cruise when checking in at the port, and something odd happened. The key (magnetic card) for our stateroom had a Goofy on a white background, later on that day one of the Dissers mentioned to me that the Silver Castaway Members shouldn't get a Goofy. I didn't make a big deal but a couple days later I started to think about it and went to guest services and asked and the said that it was true but if it was OK with me I didn't have to change it. I left it at that but never found out what is the proper key to receive ?

Does anyone know what is this different key pictures (characters) mean ?

I know that the lanyards are colored silver, gold and platinum.

Today is the first day of December and to us it's the best month of the year. Wish everyone a wanderfull month with all great moments regardless of your beliefs.

We celebrate Christmas all the way so this week we'll start to put up our decorations. The Baby Jesus Nativity, the Christmast tree, full minilights, Santa Claouse; the whole works.

Last year we didn't do it because we went to the DCL Western Cruise so I'm in the process of convincing DW to do it

Another reason why celebrate this month is the 27th is my birthday which will put me in 48 yo....

but my soul feels like 28.

Have been getting lot's of rain here and some areas of the country are fludded fortunately for us our home town is ok. Have seen lots of strong snow reports in Europe hope you all are not having "Internet Freeze". Worm hugs to you all.

Today I have my High School Reuinion - Class of 1981. That means it would be our 30th Aniversary (July 2011 official date).

I'm sure it's going to be intersting. I've kept in touch with some friends but many I have no contact at all.

It's defenatly going to be fun.


Back to cruise mode: I was watching news report on an airport strike in Spain; NOT GOOD .

Hope they solve their issues very soon.

Still no word/info/anything on Palma for our cruise so I'm going to make a wish about Palma (or a sugestion ):

I wish DCL builds a Castaway Cay Euro Style Area in Palma.

I don't know if this is old news but I found out today:

The Fliying Dutchman: The Ghost Ship from Pirates in the Caribbean that was parked (or docked) at Castaway Cay has been dismanteled.

Aparently salt water and sea enviroment harmed it so much that it was beyond recuperation.

I'm glad we got to see it on December 2009, it was quite a view with the Magic in the Background.

Hi Mel Bbrrrrr -14 in Centigrades or Farenheits is awfully cold. So with that weather you are stuck at home and no computer ! That is like loosing a limb for a cyber person like you. Did you get a diagnose ? What happend to it ?

Here in Venezuela we have no winter like you do; mostly two mayor seasons: hot/hot or rainy/hot. Right now we are in the rainy/hot and getting some fludding in lots of areas but no problems here at my home town.

Let me send you some sun rays considering that the winter is just begining

Hi Mel Bbrrrrr -14 in Centigrades or Farenheits is awfully cold. So with that weather you are stuck at home and no computer ! That is like loosing a limb for a cyber person like you. Did you get a diagnose ? What happend to it ?

WOW ! Only eight months to go for this wanderfull cruise to set sail. It's really right around the corner.



I still haven't booked air tickets and, uhumm finish paying the cruise which I have to do before April, 2011. That's when my Silver Castaway membership kicks in to book other fun stuff like shore excursions, Palo, etc. For families with small children Flounders Reef Nursery is the most difficult service to book; luckily for me not my case.

Pirates of The Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides will be released on May, 2011 so this will be shown on our cruise. I'll wait to see it on the Magic on Pirate Night.

For all of those folks that are still checking out the thread to make a decision please feel free to ask anything that may help you make a decision. I'm just going to go ahead and say: What a Better Christmas gift than a Disney Cruise on the Mediterranean ?
