How far out from leaving do you do your ESTA? We leave on 15 September so can I do them now?

DD is home from school sick today so we are stuck at home which is giving me a chance to do some trip catchup.

Thanks.

they are valid 2 years from date of purchase...so try to do it closer to the date you travel..then you get longer out of them....I peaked too soon and lost 4 months last year..we live and learn:thumbsup2

You leave the 15th, we leave the 14th and Karen leaves the 13th...it's gonna be a Aussie DIS conga line...:dance3:

I caved and did my ESTAs last week, I just had the urge to DO something :yay:

I figure it will just encourage us to head back again soon, thinking Hawaii would be nice...:beach:

isnt it funny we're all leaving within a week of each other......at least if one of us forgets something, the next one can bring it over....as long as its not your kids:rotfl:

Now that's a plan! My DH has a habit of leaving his glasses behind, I may just send a spare set to meandmygirl now...

but dont forget to do them, as you will have to pay 3x as much if you do it at the airport:wave2:

Huh? Can't you just jump online and do as normal? Had a friend recently get to the airport and discover he couldn't get on the plane without an ETSA, despite having an actual visa for the US because the airline didn't understand the rules. He just jumped on the web and applied the normal way, no extra charge.

We're leaving on the 11th, they're going to be overrun :thumbsup2

Whenever I hear an Aussie accent at WDW i'm going to wonder if it's somebody I "know" ;)

Holding out for our ESTA's as well, but I think I am going to need to get a new printer ink sometime very soon to print out all our stuff (I love filling our planning folder!)

Lol! My baby brain is still present from nearly 7 years ago :rotfl:

My printer has been getting a good workout - had to get new ink last week and will probably need another before we go.

I did my ESTA's about 2 months ago, I got a bit excited.. I'm leaving 15th of September too..:cool1:

Ok people, anyone leaving on the 12th, 10th or 16th?
Need to keep the conga line going :dance3: :rotfl2:

Our friends leave Sept 2nd for NY then onto WDW on Sept 11. We leave Melb on Sept 11 for WDW and are on the same flight as Becpee. Maybe Becpee and I could do a conga line up the aisles

LOL interesting :thumbsup2
I'll be the one celebrating in the bar before takeoff :wave2:
Are you going straight through to Orlando as well? I'm not sure if we're nuts yet for doing it this way...

I'm sorry madam but those seats/drinks are already taken. LOL

Now remember, whatever happens on the plane, stays on the plane.

Yes, you've got us for all 20+ hours. We had a 2 day shopover (no it's not a typo) in LA in 2010 but went straight through in 2011. We much preferred doing it all in one hit.

The flights straight through are like childbirth, you complain about it when you're in the middle of it wondering why you'd done it, then conveniently think it wasn't that bad when you've finished. Go figure!

I'll be drinking at 9am i'm thinking, as soon as we're checked in and through immigration, DH and I always have a celebratory drink before our flight, wherever we go :thumbsup2

DS is so excited, will be interesting though as last time we fought over the window seat :scratchin

I considered stopping over and then figured I just want to get there :cool1: already.

And we'll follow you to the next plane, it's going to be a tight one :crazy2:

YUP! We're on the same flight home as you - oct 7th..air new zealand 10.30pm lax-syd.

I'll be the one drowning my " I don't wanna go home" sorrows in those cute little bottles of Marlborough sauvignon blanc.... but I think you're flying PE? We're down the back of the bus so you probably won't hear the sobs

I'll head over and post my details on MinnieMum's roll call thread...

Andona
P.S. If I were you I'd be even MORE scared about the $ now... :hyper:

And here I thought I was the only one who cried on the flight home :thumbsup2
I'll never forget DS on the way home on the plane last time "I don't want to go home to the red bricky house Mummy"
