Essentials Oils.........really work?

Probably about as good as those Himalayan salt lamps which supposedly have health benefits. The 'salt' is actually from Pakistan, but think Himalaya sounds better for marketing purposes..................LOL.
Ug, those things look like hideous Star Trek props. The secret of these lamps is your friends will think you're weird and never come over, so that mitigates the spread of germs.

I don't even trust "pink Himalayan salt" as a true source claimed by popcorn brands.

My sister is (or was -- she doesn't talk about it a ton anymore) into essential oils. She's always saying "try this one," and "here are a few drops of ___."

I feel like sometimes they help for temporary symptom relief, but I wouldn't rely on them to actually cure anything. I know she considers Frankincense to be a miracle oil, but I don't think I've ever tried that one.

Have to be careful with this as there are a few MLMs in the essential oil space. The family members touting them may have a financial reason for doing so.

My sister didn't sell... but yes, hers were from a MLM company... that her friend sells.

I have a neighbor who buys lots of Doterra oils. She has tons but I notice they sit unopened on her counter. :scratchin:confused3

And MLM is also a newer term used in place of 'pyramid scheme' which is illegal. Not all MLM's are illegal, but if they mostly focus on getting more people to sell whatever their product is, would be very suspicious of them.

so here in Germany essential oils are recogninzed and used for many health benefits. Physiotherapists will use them as part of their treatments. Arnica helps for joint pain and works. Never used the one you mentioned. I will say try it. but read up on how to apply. Essentials oils should never be applied concentrated directly to skin.. Thymian is a great oil for chest colds.. Lavendar will calm and help one sleep. check out amazon. look for organic and pure. Tons of places will sell mixed crap of chemicals... They are also cheap, 10 dollars maybe at least here in Germany.. and last forever..

but as somebody else mentioned. Try tumerica and ginger as tea or supplement... that helps innflamation and also boosts immune

Wouldn't surprise me to find those trendy pink salts sold as a gourmet product are just local sea salt with some added food coloring ..............LOL.

They are not. I use several specialty finishing salts and the color has never "run off." 🤣

Pink "Himalayan" salt is not in my arsenal though. The salts I use are from Hawaii and France.

I don’t know which oils work or not. But please, by all that is holy, do not drench yourself in patchouli & go out in public. :scared:
