Hi, I don't know much about sports but my DH is a fanatic. Where exactly is ESPN located? I would like to treat him to lunch or dinner while we are there in Oct. Do you need to make an AR? :confused3

Its at the Boardwalk hotel. Straight through the lobby, out to the boardwalk and it all the way down on your right.

ESPN doesn't take ADR's, but unless you go during a big sports event you shouldn't have any trouble getting in. I've had lunch there three times and have never had to wait at all.

It's a fun environment for a sports fan. And I think the food is really good. I always get the grilled portobello sandwich, and it's delicious. I've heard that the nachos are very good too.

We ate at ESPN last Nov and loved it!! We ate there the Tues of Thanksgiving week for dinner and waited 5 minutes at most for table. The food was good and the atmosphere was fun. Our DS then 9 years old was amazed that the mens room had a TV in every stall and by every sink. He announced it to everyone around us when he returned from the mens room :rotfl2:

If you also enjoy watching football I would recommend going there on a Sunday. It is very crowded but alot of fun. People who like the same teams tend to gather around in the same area to watch the game. It's alot of fun. They show every football game on at least one screen. Go early if you want a seat. Also, the food is very good for pub style food. If you go at another time you will probably be ok. Remember, October is baseball playoffs and I've been there during the World Series and it is crowded on game nights.

No reservations at ESPN Club. You could plan to do this on a day you are at Epcot. Just exit through the International Gateway located between United Kingdom and France. Give a "gee honey, let's see what's out here" thing. Once outside the turnstyle, make a left and cross over to the Boardwalk. He'll probably hear the ESPN theme before he sees the restaurant. Unless it's a sports day, I'd go after 1:00 for a nice lunch. Don't go on a Sunday. Yes, it's a fun atmosphere but you'll have to stand in a huge line to get in. During the week would be much better.

Encourage him to get up and walk around and look at all the stuff on the walls. And yes, definitely make him go to the bathroom while he's there! There's also a nice gift shop next door so maybe you could get him something to remember your surprise.
