:rotfl: My little brother wants to know about the ESPN Club restaurant. He is into sports and the whole espn thing and he wanted to know about the food and atmosphere. :wave2: :worship: :thewave:

I like the food, good sizes, not too pricey. I am not big on sports, but like the espn club(they have tons of tv's and sports stuff, an arcade, store, bar) basically its like your typical local sports pub but on steroids.

I ate at ESPN Club for the first time in December, and I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. I love sports, and this is definitely the place for a sports junkie. There a TV's showing sports everywhere, and lots of sports decor. I can't wait to go back with my two teenage sons. :)

:) A must visit on every trip for us.

Atmosphere and location, and reportedly from my wife and BIL one of the best chicken sandwiches on property...

We had a blast playing the golf game while we ate....

We loved this place. The food was alright, but basically bar food. But there is a tv showing every sport somewhere. We went on a Saturday afternoon during College Football season and the place was packed. There must have been twenty different games going on around the place, as well as baseball. Truly a sports lover's paradise.

it's just ordinary bar food with a disney counter service twinge to it...IE: same hamburger paties at espn that you'd get in a park.

you do get large servinng portions, but we skip this place, unless we really want to watch a game.

Hmmm - I think that if you and your brother want to eat here, the both of you should split the tab and take your folks.

The ESPN Zone has good food, especially the wings. It is the ultimate in sports club atmosphere. WARNING! Don't go there when something big is going on in the world of sports, such as a football playoff game. You will wait in line for upwards to over an hour just to get into the building, and that is to stand shoulder to shoulder 5 to 10 feet from the bar. I think every wife must give their DH passes for these events, and they all go a running to the Zone. Go, have a beer and some wings, buy a hat, but know beforehand what's going on in the world of sports, or you'll be on the outside looking in.

It's sports heaven....prices are reasonable and make sure you get there around 7:00pm when they conduct a live interview of a professional athlete. Questions are taken from the audience and our kids got a kick out of that. TV's with sports are on everywhere even in the rest rooms...go for it!!!!!

A real treat for Sports Fans! Get there between 5:30 and 6:00pm and request to sit in the arena area, lots of TV's and "usually" a sports personality appears at 7:00pm, varies from retired players, to off season players, coaches and the like. I always recommend the wings as an appetizer.
Here is the menu:

No, they don't take ps. But you should'nt have a problem getting a seat. I've never had trouble getting a spot there.

My kids really like the trivia contests too. One night we were there during "hockey night live" and it was fun to watch the broadcaster in the booth between periods of the hockey game. And one time the waitress made sure they put the Mich. basketball game on one of the TVs when she noticed DD's UM sweatshirt.

BTW, we like the food too! :cool1:

DS13 & I are planning a lunch here during our Aug vacation

General FYI: During Saturdays & Sundays in the Fall (and other big sports days, college or professional) it can be difficult to get a seat. Not only do people want to stop in for a bite to eat, most sports fans will park it and won't move all afternoon. Unlike in other restaurants, a diner might sit for 4+ hours (and as long as they continue to order, they'll keep their seats). Us for example, we got there at 2 and left around 7.

When we were there in Oct, it was a Saturday and obviously tons of teams were playing. The bar was smack full (seat yourself) but we got a table over in the dining area. But as we were moving over from dining to bar, we noticed the line outside and it was looooooong.

But any sports fan will love the ESPN Club...especially if they like a game with a side (or 10) of beer.

ESPN Club is located at the Boardwalk. It has family-friendly food and everything has a sports twist. This is very much a sports bar and the atmosphere is noisy. It has basketball court flooring and sports memorabilia. There are at least 80 TV monitors. The bar area has satelittle sports-trivia video games. There is also a gift shop, scoreboards, live interviews, internet terminals, and other video games.

They serve lunch, dinner and snacks here (all with the same menu). It might be good to remember that it is open late (until 1am during the week and 2am on weekends). According to the Unofficial Guide, this is a good place for late-night dining. It is one of the cheaper table service restaurants with entrees ranging from $8-$16. Most people say the portions are large and some of the recommendations I have read for food are:

Bloody Mary Chili
"Overtime" fries (prepared like nachos)
half-pound burgers,
BBQ pork sandwiches
Red wings (buffalo-style chicken wings)
fresh fin tuna-salad sandwich
penne pasta with grilled vegetables
marinated grilled chicken breast on a roll
club sandwich
As someone has already stated, priority seating is not accepted. Also, you can park for free before 5pm at the Boardwalk parking lot. (It costs $6 afterward.) Dress is casual.

I think that your brother would probably love it here. It seems like it would be heaven for sports lovers. Apparently you can select what you want to watch through satelite feeds with your own controls.

My 2 DS's and DH absolutely love this place! The atmosphere, the food, and the servers are all terrific. Make sure you go into the bathroom, too - they even have a TV in each stall! My DS laughed when I told him I took a pic of this - but I said no one at home will believe me! :rotfl:

Do you have a photo of this that you could share with us? I would love to see it.

I do have a photo, but it was taken with my 35mm camera on our trip in 2002 - before I got my digital camera, so I can't put it online - maybe someone else has a photo of this that they can put online - I can't be the only one who ever took a picture of this!! :goodvibes
