For those of you who like their American sports, ESPN America seems to be having a freeview day (Sunday) on channel 417 Sky boxes.

Watching some baseball right now :goodvibes

Thanks for that Obi i have enjoyed watching it while i have been in today. Just wish i could understand all the rules of baseball LOL

thanks hubby enjoyed watching this channel, recorded some games to watch later, is it expensive to get it all the time then?

Its part of the Setanta package and with the current condition of them, to subscribe would be chucking £12 a month away

Not sure how that will effect ESPN America channel though, the soccer games I assume will be on Eurosport which AFAIK ESPN owns.

ESPN is owned by Disney and Eurosport is owned by the French group TF1.

From the ESPN website -

ESPN plans to make its Barclays Premier League coverage widely available across multiple pay-TV platforms. As a first step to this distribution strategy, ESPN has reached an agreement for its coverage to be retailed by Sky to residential and commercial customers.

Thanks (I think!) DH is very excited as they are going to show the All Star Game and I'm busy seeing when the Red Sox will be on next

Just hope that Virgin do a similar deal to replace Setanta (I did get it free with the XL TV package). It would be great to ESPN America so that I watch live baseball again (I miss it since Channel 5 stopped showing the Sunday night games).
