Escape wedding!!

I have newly decided that i will be getting married at the disney wedding pavillion. Have a few q's and wondered if anyone can help? Have a date in mind. Am i right in saying that i cannot book until 1 year in advance? Can we make a provsional booking before then?

Where would be a good place to have a meal afterwards the escape wedding? We are members of the vacation club and have decided that on the night of the wedding we will be staying in a one bedroom apartment in bay lake towers overlooking the magic kingdom. Somewhere close to that would be good, or near to the grand floridian wher we will be having the champagne reception???

Narcoosees and Citricos are very close to the WP! Prices will depend on if you want lunch or dinner and if you want a private location or not.I think Narcoosees is stunning, and doesnt need much decoration if you like the color blue. You could also possibly do the Grand Floridian Cafe, but I think Lynn wasnt super pleased with them when she had hers there, maybe she can pop up to give advice!

Narcoosees has a food & beverage minimum of 1500.00 in order to hold a luncheon, as they are not normally open for lunch. I am not sure what Citricos charges. What time do you plan to hold your ceremony?

I know the week i want to get married but just dont know how easy it will be to get the date and time you want? I would think thousands of people are probably after these weddings! Have you booked yours? x

We havent booked yet! I was hoping for an earlier morning ceremony like 10 or noon, but beacuse we want to use Ohanas for our dinner they do not open until 5! This is making it look like we will prob do a 230 ceremony followed by Ohanas at 5iash. I am concerned that doing a dessert party after Ohanas will be way too much food! If we do the 5 ceremony we will do a first look adn do pics before.

We may do an early ceremony at 10, then have a small luncheon at the St James room or Narcoosees, then have an afternoon break (230ish lunch should be done) guests can go to the hotel and hit the pool or go explore epcot, and then have everyone meet up for the Dessert party at like 730ish. This way people can change out of their wedding clothes and have some time to enjoy the pool. The break would also allow us to do pictures.

all locations besides the wedding pavilion book 1 year in advance. WP books 8 months. There is nothing you can do to hold your date. You just have to wait it out and prepare to be flexible with either your day or time.

They recently changed it - now no location can be booked more than 8 months out for an Escape event. Just so you know that switching venues won't have any advantage.

I love the idea of a luncheon then a dessert party later! I think our parents would also love that! Is the luncheon like an all you can eat thing? And the dessert party the same? Excuse my ignorance! Just not the sort of thing you hear about in Aberdeen!

Fingers crossed we will get a date at the pavillion that we want. We have 2 weeks planned over there so we are pretty flexible with dates. Hopefully that will work in our favour.

With the luncheon I think it depends on where you have it and whether its plated or a buffet. There are so many great restaurants its kind of hard to choose.

If you do a dessert party you get to pick the desserts and they set up a table with a nice dessert display. I think anything desserts that are left over you can take back to your room with you.

Where is Citricos located at the Grand Floridian? I know Narcoosees is off to the side...thanks.

Citricos is in the main building next to victoria and alberts. I think its the second floor but could be wrong. If you walk in the front door of the lobby its in the back on the left hand side.
