Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

Hi everybody. I can't believe it's almost the weekend again. Where did this week go??? We went to San Antonio for my niece's Bat Mitzvah over Labor Day weekend. She did a great job and the party was fun. I didn't get much sleep while there, though. I put together a slide video presentation - 101 digi scrapbook layouts in the presentation. I ended up fighting with my computer to get it made and praying that it worked on my nieces computer at the party since my laptop basically quit working by the time I was done. Thankfully it worked beautifully.

The kids had a great time playing with their cousins all weekend. And my sister kept drilling into Ian and Sophia that we need to go back more often. I think I'll take them down in December right after schools get out for break.

I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day holiday. We were in the car practically the whole day working our way back home. We left my sister's house to meet up with some friends and other sister's family for breakfast at 9:30am, got on the road at 12:30, and walked in the door at home at 9:30pm. Long, LONG day. And to think I made that trip with the kids last spring in less than 6 hours.

*** I need y'all's help! I entered a picture of Sophia in a contest and hope y'all will go to the website and vote for it. You can vote once every 24 hours and the contest goes through October 16.
You will need to create and login, but please go here èhttp://family.go.com/princess-picture-contest/who-is-the-fairest/from-one-princess-to-another-14608/ç and vote for Sophia’s picture.
Thanks ***

Whooo, it's the weekend finally! The 1st week back at school seem to take so long. My class seem nice, not as bad as their previous teacher lead me to believe, but I guess it is early days yet. I have 2 great assistants this year so we should all do well.

This morning we went up to the new international swimming pool that just opened in our town which is about 5 minutes from my house (I drive past it every day going to work.)We joined the gym there so we go for our induction on Friday. It seems quite a good deal, for £28 a month (about $42) you get unlimited use of the pool, health suite (spa, sauna, steam room), gym and all excercise class at the pool. Plus the use of the gym and excercise classes at the sports centre which is just down the road from my house. One of my assistants has joined too so we are going to go to some classes on an evening plus I can call in at the gym on the way home from work (or if I have had a stressful day I might just call in and sit in the sauna and steam room for a while!!). They do some adult only swim sessions too so I might go to some of those as well.

So does anyone have any nice plans for the weekend? We don't have much planned, just doing odd jobs around the house really.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

Good morning.

Dana, are the leaves turning yet? my dh was in Brussels last week and said the weather has been cold but it is beautiful out there already. I am so jealous. We get one season all year long...ugh

RRBB I voted for Sophia!! It is an adorable picutre

Geffric, you are a fast mvoing train girl. Slow down! You make the rest of us look lazy...well at least me! hehehe

Nothing going on today except Football! Have a great one

Today was supposed to be Ian's first soccer game of the season. But rain all night, and still, the game was cancelled. :( And he won't be able to play in next week's game because it's Rosh Hashanah.

cheeringmom - Thanks for the vote. I don't think there's any way Sophia can with with votes - some already have over 100 - but to finish in the first 10 pages (top 90) would be fun.

Danauk - I'm glad your class isn't as bad as you'd anticipated. I hope you have a great year with them.

Oops, gotta run. Kids tugging me in opposite directions...

RRBB I tried to vote for Sophia but the site wouldn't let me register. I guess you have to be in the USA. It asked for a zip code, which I don't have! Sorry Ians game was cancelled, I hope he gets to play in a few weeks time.

Well today Pete suddenly decided he wanted to cook WDW recipies for dinner (we bought a cook book last month.) So tonight we are having the Cheese soup from Le Cellier and the Tiramisu from Victoria and Alberts/Narcoossees!! It has been a lovely day here, the sun is shining and not a cloud in the sky. So we will eat the food out on our deck. I think it might be the last time we do this, this year.

Greetings..

RRBB i voted.. and will keep my fingers crossed for you..

DID you see that DCL is going to ALASKA!! YEAH!!

I was going to take the kids.. Eric will graduate HS in 2011 so it is a great excuse.. but he wants to do Hawaii on DVC points in 2011.. so it looks like DH and I will go alone..;) that means 8/30 cruise to Alaska and we will save so much money since it is the 2 of us we can do the Vancouver to LA cruise too.. I emailed DU for a quote in June with the kids and August without//..Wanna join us??

Good morning everyone. I'm just stopping by quickly as I have a lot to do today! Houusework to do, loads of washing to sort, I need to clean my car our and get the hoover to it, then I have school planning to do. Most of this I need to get done by 3pm as then we have some people coming around from our theatre group for a commitee meting. Well I guess I should get on then! Have a nice day everyone.

We spent our Saturday in town since Jessie had a long vet appointment/drop-off. She is a bit sore from her shots. We found a great bargain at Macy's on a new 29" expandable suitcase for our trip (it was $150 off for the super sale...we could had saved more if we had a coupon), shared a pizza at California Pizza Kitchen, and read some WDW books at the bookstore.

We are working on our trip plans later today since we are under 3 weeks. We are at AKL on Sat. Oct. 3 (hopefully arrive by early evening), then transfer to the DVC rental, and 2 nights at All Star Sports.

Monday I am doing Epcot and Tuesday is MNSSHP.. rest of the days I am open.. I have some dinner ressies you and NC Beast can join in on..

So the main question is when and where do you want to meet??

Thanks for the vote. :) (You know, you can vote every 24 hours. ;) ;) )

I had no idea about the 2011 itineraries until you posted this. Thanks. I don't think we'll be doing Alaska. But I really, REALLY want to go on that PC repositioning cruise. I've said since we got off the ship last year that I'd do it again in a heart beat. I'm just not sure about taking the kids, Ian in particular, out of school for 2 1/2 weeks right after being out for 2 for the holidays. On the other hand, he will only be in kindergarten. And when will this opportunity come up again? Besides, both kids keep telling me how much they miss the Mickey Mouse Ship. (Okay, Sophia probably is just parroting her brother, but it's so cute.)

But I haven't been able to find when booking dates are. I'm sure if we do this again, OF will want to use DVC points like last time. Plus he'd need to clear the dates at work, especially since it's right after the first of the year when they usually do inventory at his office. Ahhh, the trials and tribulations of vacation planning... all thanks to geffric. :lmao:

I haven't been here since Tuesday
I need to catch up - I'll try to do that later.

Well, it's the start of another week :upsidedow

This weather lately is absolutly wonderful!! :sunny:

I spent the whole weekend outside.
Friday night was the FD vs PD softball games - what a beautiful night for this.
It was alot of fun, because I love seeing everyone - it's like family getting together.
Stephanie announced most of the games, and she was really good at it, and she had a lot of fun!!!!:)

Saturday, Stephanie had a 9am soccer game, which they tied the other team.
Then, I walked around a town fest for 9 1/2 hours straight selling pins and buttons for our town centennial coming up in 2010. I sold alot, and I was very proud of myself when the night was over :thumbsup2 Boy was I tired though - I never stopped once. I wish I had a pedometer on, because I know I walked way over 10,000 steps that day :thumbsup2

Yesterday was another awesome day with our neighbors.
Our family started the day out by going out to breakfast (I was hungry, because I basically didn't eat all day at the fest), then went to a farmers market, and then took a nice Sunday drive :car:
Then we came home, and were at our neighbors the rest of the day. They had some family over, and we sat outside and watched football and ate, while the kids played (from 1pm until 8pm). Kevin didn't come in with us, because he was watching the Bears game over there. Our neighbor had 2 very large tvs in his garage, and then he brought out his BIG screen tv outside, and put it on the driveway - it was so funny!!!! We don't have a block party once a year, we have one every weekend!!!!:thumbsup2

Well, it's time to go wake up Katie, which probably won't be easy.
She was really tired after playing outside all day, and even though I got her to bed at 8:30pm, I know she'll still be difficult to wake up.

Have a good day!!!

Okay---some of our current adrs/plans:

Sunday--- we might be AK for some rides before Les Chefs for early dinner then MK for emh.

Monday---MK for CP breakfast plus some rides, then DHS for emh

Tuesday---AK (Tusker for Nemo seating) for lunch, party at night

Wednesday-- we have early dinner at Citrico's planned, but it can change.

Thursday-- Le Cellier for early dinner

Friday-- no set plans

Saturday---no real set plans except 'Ohana for early dinner
-------------------------------------------------------
We are pretty flexible on this trip.

NC Belle - I sent you a pm..

Well today I got a call at 7:30 am asking me to run the kitchen at Meals on Wheels.. the lady who I help would not be there.. so I rushed in and worked until 2 pm straight.. whee i am tired but got home and ate a big bunch of M&Ms so now I am feeling better..;).

Still have lots of SHIP and other work to do for BSA.. but I am going to take a walk and clear my head before I start into all that.. and I offered to help in the kitchen tomorrow as they need to get out 2 meals to the home bound and get day care set for 2 days since the kitchen will be closed on Thursday..busy time the next 2 weeks before I leave for WDW.. and of course I have the high holidays starting Friday night with Rosh Hashana.. a trip to Cleveland for a baby shower, Yom Kippur and then... Meals on Wheel Tues, Thursday and Wednesday too , parents night at school, more meetings at BSA for marketing committee.. plus when I come back from a week at WDW, I leave right away for a college road trip with Eric and his friend to U of Indiana, Perdue, Ohio State and Miami of Ohio..

How did I ever work full time and do all this too..??

Well time for a walk to clear my head..

NCBelle, those cound like great plans. Le Cellier, yumm!! I had the cheese soup from there for lunch today. We got the cookbook and Pete made a batch at the weekend!!

Geffric Boy you do sound like you are busy!! I hope you enjoyed your walk.

Well we had some news today at work. Our deputy head is off long term sick again so the head called a senior team meeting. The other 3 of us on the senior team have to cover her job (we will get parts of our jobs covered so we are given the time to do this.) It should be interesting, but it means she will be off for our next inspection around Christmas time, so more hard work and pressure on us! Great!!

Hi all!! :wave2:

I've been having a busy schedule lately.
Yesterday I left home at 7:10am and didn't get home until 10pm - I was tired.
Today it continues with work all day, and then soccer at night.

Belle - Your ADR's look great!!!! :thumbsup2
I haven't been to LeCellier in 8 years, and I really want to return. Stephanie was so crabby when we were there (she was 3) and it made the meal very unenjoyable.

Danauk - I''m sending some PD your way to help with the work overload:wizard: I hope it all goes smoothly!

geffric - Good luck with your busy schedule too :wizard:

It's time to go wake up the Sleeping Beauties
Have a good day!!!

Saturday---no real set plans except 'Ohana for early dinner

We are pretty flexible on this trip.
Hey everyone - this is the Saturday when we will be arriving. We won't get into MCO until 7:30pm. Best case - I don't see us checked in until nearly 9pm. But for our time difference - it might seem like dinner time. If my youngest is very tired we will just do the food court at POFQ (will it be open then?) but if we are all still ready to go - I thought we could go to Downtown Disney. They will still be serving dinner at 9pm-9:30pm right? Any suggestions on where to eat - we will be on the Dining Plan.

:surfweb:

I am now selling AVON.
I really don't need something else on my plate, but I figured, what the heck :teeth:
If anyone wants a catalog, please let me know, and I'll send one to you :thumbsup2

BB - Are you renting a car, or are you doing Magical Express?
If you ar renting a car, than you can leave property and get something to take back to your room. You could order a pizza from Uno's, at the airport, and pick it up on the way to the resort. If you aren't renting a car, than I'm not sure what to do. I've never stayed at POTC, so I don't anything about their food court. I'm also not sure what time restaurants, in DTD, serve food until. I'm sure someone here will be able to give you some definite times - we normally eat dinner early, so that's why I don't know.

Have a good day!!!

DDP--
CS:

Earl of Sandwhich is pretty good, okay on value on plan...we hope to try Wolfgang Puck Express on this trip. I don't think the Mc Donald's is on the DDP.

TS:

We have used DDP at DTD for table service yet. We ate at T-Rex out of pocket and it was pricey (same ownership as Rainforest Cafe).

I'm not sure about Raglan Road on a Saturday...music at night.

We are not renting a car - just taking Magic Express. That is why I am concerned about getting food that late at night.

I would think things are open late on a weekend night. But I do live in a larger city. I got to thinking about trying to get food at that hour in my small hometown or even the high dollar east coast suburb my best friend lives in.

Without a car - I need to come up with a plan of where to go that I know there will be food.

Can you tell I am beginning to worry a little ;)

Hello everyone. Just checking in. School is keeping me plenty busy. Hope everyone is ready for fall. I know I am!
