Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

DanaUK - I wish Cheeky a speedy recovery. Not a great way to return of a wonderful vacation. It's nice that your neighbor is helping out.

ibouncetoo - One of our co-worker lost a cat the way you mentioned. She watched it carried off. They are wild animals and its scary. Where I live there is still some pretty large horse/farm property plus a 9 hole city golf course. One day I saw a very skinny shepherd type dog walked down the street. It was really skinny and hungry looking. All of a sudden I realized it was a very, very thin coyote. I called Animal Control - and unless it appeared sick or was attacking... there was nothing to do. They said they were far more common that people realize. Since my neighborhood is not near a nature preserve and has been populated since the '60 - I never expected to see a coyote strolling down our street.

NC B. and I were doing some adr/park planning tonight. We are trying to be more easy going on this trip. We are leaning to sticking to driving since its cheaper and we can haul more stuff. We are not doing the dessert party---a bit pricey and we don't need the calories.

DanaUK--I hope that Cheeky is doing better today.

Slo-- I hope that you are okay.

Good morning guys,
Cheeky is doing a little better today. He can't walk too well at the moment as he is very stiff and limping, but his wound healed up OK. Yesterday we brought him down stairs and he walked out into the garden and sat there for a while. But then he decided to scale the fence over into next door and I couldn't find him for ages and I don't think he could get back. So he is upstairs at the moment and managed to eat his normal breakfast this morning (he hasn't eaten much over the past 2 days), so I think I will try to get him to walk a little later but keep him in for a few days.

NCBelle I hope you had fun planning. When we go to Disneyland Paris we drive as we like having the space in the car. I wish we could drive to WDW as we end up hiring a car when we are there anyway.

Wow..I haven't been on here since Friday

Not to much has been going on.
Saturday I worked all day, and then had a nice evening with my girls. Kevin was at a race, so we rented Hannah Montana the movie (I really like this movie), and then watched The Wizards of Waverly Place the movie (I didn't like this one very much, but Stephanie did). It was a nice relaxing evening!!!!

Sorry I didn't come on yesterday - I try not to on Sundays anymore.
I like to get up and read the paper and drink my coffee - it's a nice way to start Sundays:) I normally like to do this outside, but it was so chilly yesterday morning, that I had to stay inside. Speaking of this chilly weather, Kevin and I decided to close up the pool this week (well, he'll be doing it):guilty: We agreed that it's sensless to keep dumping chemicals and electricity into a pool that's not being used. The water is now 71 degrees, and even if we had a hot day, the water would be to cold to get in to, so it's time to close it:sad1: Hopefully next year will be hotter {{fingers crossed}}.

Danauk - I'm so sorry to hear about your cat:guilty::sad1:
I hope Cheeky feels better soon :wizard: Please keep us updated!!!!

To everyone else - :wave2:

Well, it's about that time to get Katie up and ready for school :teacher:
She's not easy to wake up at all :sad2:Stephanie is much easier.

Have a good day!!!

Morning all,

Well Cheeky stayed in all day yesterday and refused to come out from under the bed (apart from when I took him food which he ate quickly!) He was moving around though and sitting and standing up and responding to us when we went to see him. As we went to bed we got him out and he stayed on the bed for a while then jumped down (he could not jump the day before). When we got up this morning he was not there and now I am not sure where he is. I guess he was feeling better and after having a few days inside he decided to get some fresh air and is no doubt sleeping somewhere outside (I am guessing in the bushes in next doors garden as he is not in ours.) I am sure he will return later when he is hungry again! On the plus side I was talking to the lady who was walking her dog at the time of the attack and saw it, she said the dog who attacked Cheeky has gone away to Scotland on holiday with his owner for 2 weeks so at least I know that the dog isn't around.

At the moment my friend has come round as he wanted Pete to go through some songs with him because he has an audition for Disney cruise line!! I can really see him on a cruise ship in the shows or even being a costume charaters (he would be a great Tigger!!)

Slo Sorry you didn't get so much use out of the pool this summer. Hopefully next year will be better.

Well I better go, I think I will go and have another look for Cheeky. I am sure he has found somewhere to sleep but I just want to make sure he is safe.

It's 5:30am and it's dark and cold - I feel like it's October
I waiting to hear if we broke any records for temp last night.

School has been great for getting Katie to bed early.
She's always so tired at the end of the day, that she goes to bed w/o any arguements. Last night I had her in bed by 8pm - I couldn't even tell you the last time she was in bed that early:upsidedow.

I"m getting my teeth fixed tonight :woohoo:
My appoiintment is at 5:30pm - I"m so excited!! My tongue is sore from rubbing against the roughness of this tooth, and I am so paranoid about the the tooth breaking more. I'll let you know how it all goes tomorrow.

Danauk - Were you able to find Cheeky after your post? I'm glad he is starting to feel better - that's good news!!!:)

Well, I gotta go get ready for my Leads group today
As much as I enjoy going, it's always so hard to get up and there by 7:20am.

Have a good day!!!

Good morning. Sophia had a great first day of school yesterday. Swimming lesson in the afternoon was much different, though. The whole time she cried and kept saying, "I don't like ________" for whatever they were doing. She's a good swimmer and loves the water, but she's upset that I don't get in the pool with her anymore.

Today OF and I did the "divide and conquer" - he took Ian to school and I'm taking Sophia in a little while. We've got to figure out how to light a fire under Ian, though. He takes FOREVER to get dressed and down for breakfast.

DanaUK - I'm glad Cheeky is doing better.

Slo - If I could have, I would have sent some of our hot weather to you this summer.

Well, I'm off to get Sophia to school then the dentist (but just for a cleaning) for me.

Danauk - Were you able to find Cheeky after your post? I'm glad he is starting to feel better - that's good news!!!:)

I have seen him since I posted (he was in the bush in next doors garden where I thought he would be). I saw him come out and called him, but he looked at me, ignored me, climbed the garden fence (they have some trellis so he uses it like a step ladder!) and then went to into the other garden where he often goes to (he likes the 2 neighbours gardens as they fuss him and give him food too!!) So at least I have seen him. He was still limping, but if he was able to climb the fence and walk along the top of it I guess he is OK. I'm sure he will be back at dinner time!! I know he is not far away.

RRBB I'm glad Sophia had a great 1st day at school.

Well Cheeky didn't return yesterday and wasn't here this morning for breakfast so I went to look for him. I saw him in the street and called him but he ran off. Then later I saw him on the field next to our house so went to him. Again he wouldn't come to me as I called him, but I did get close to him and managed to pick him up. But then he attacked me with his claws (so not like him, he is the most gentle cat ever) so I had to drop him and he ran back off into the bushes on the field. So now I don't know where he is and if we will get him back. Pete has gone in to work so there is no one here to help me, I just hope we can get him back later.

The teeth repair went really well last night!!!!:)
The dentist did such an awesome job, that you can't even tell anything happened - it's amazing!!! I was worried that this bonding was going to be whiter than the rest of my teeth, and he made it look exactly the same - just amazing!!!!!:woohoo::yay:

RRBB - My kids are very pokey too ::yes:: I just wake them up earlier and that help alot:thumbsup2
**I hope Sophia has a better day today :wizard:

Danauk - What is the status on Cheeky??? I hope he's back

Time to go wake up Katie - this is always a challenge!!!!
Have a good day!!!

OK, embarassing update on the cat!! Aparently there is another cat in the street that boarders the field on the other side who is identical to Cheeky. The cat I saw in our street this morning and the one I picked up who attacked me wasn't my cat!! I can't believe how identical they are!! About an hour after I had seen him on the field I saw him again so went over, but there was a man with him. I said to the man that the cat looked like mine who has been missing for 2 days, but the man said it was his cat!! Then looking at it I did think that although their markings were identical it did look a little smaller than Cheeky. So I thought on the off chance I would call in at the house whose garden I saw him jump in to yesterday, he was in their back garden!! So he is now upstairs eating cat food!! I can't believe though that I tried to kidnap some one elses cat!! I think I had better go and show this man my cat though to proove they do look the same!!

Morning..

DanaUK - glad that cheeky is home and eating.. that is way to coincidential ( sp) about the other cat..no wonder he clawed you.. hope that cheeky is okay and so are you..

RRBB - Eric is still pokey in the am.. and anyother time..not a lot of fun..

Well yesterday i did 16486 steps.. YEAH!! but dropped the pedometer in the toilet (UG)... so today I get to buy another one.. I am trying to keep my steps over 12000 all month..

Okay - that is too funny! I can't believe you actually were able to grab a cat that wasn't yours!

I am under 40 days away from my trip to WDW. I can't believe it.

I now have 7 ADRs booked (I added Whispering Canyon and Coral Reef). I still have one more to go - and I need to get a counter service plan (ie - if we are in this park we will eat at x,y, or z).

Did you book Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace?? Ohana is fun too..

Counter service - I like Flame Tree at AK. Cosmic Ray's and Columbia House at MK, Everything at Epcot LOL and not much as MGM - Counter service is dull there but I have eaten outside at that place accross the street from Beauty and the Beast..

Morning everyone,

BlueBayou I agree with the CS that Geffric recommended. In AK we also like the Yak and Yeti counter service, you get huge portions. In DHS we agree there isn't that great a choice, however we have always had good luck at the backlot express.

Well today we have to go back to work, we have teacher training day today and tomorrow then the children come back on Monday. I'm not sure how I feel about this year. My class has quite a few children with behaviour issues in it (although I will have 2 full time teaching assistants to help out), plus we know we are going to have a large and improtant inspection around Christmas time. At least I am teaching the same topics as last year (for the 1st time ever!!) so my planning is aready done which will help.

Well I better get ready for the day. As we need to keep Cheeky in we had to shut the doors last night so Figaro had to stay in too. I think he thinks that he is going to the vet as he is hiding under the bed at the moment! If only he would come down stairs he would see he can go outside now!!

Have a good day everyone.

My bags are packed, I'm ready go! Just one more day at work...hope I can concentrate.

Sher, gefric's CS suggestions are great. My favorite at Epcot is Sunshine Seasons in The Land, FutureWorld. Lots of variety so everyone can eat happy. As you work your way around, checking out the various stations, there will be a refrigerator type case with some packaged desserts...DON'T STOP THERE....keep going to the FRESH bakery section to select your dessert that goes with the CS dining plan. My recommendation, the strawberry short cake. It's more like a regular cake with strawberry and whipped cream layers than a true shortcake...but very, very yummy. If you stop there on one of the days that you have TS breakfast or lunch, you can really get a good sized meal for your dinner.

Don't know if I'll be checking back in till I'm home, so you all take care!

.

ibouncetoo - Have a GREAT trip!!!! By the way, thanks for the voice mail about SWA - unfortunately we are on US AIRWAYS - with the per bag charge.
