Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

I can't believe it's Thursday already :upsidedow

OH...look at the new smilie:littleangel:
How long have we had this?
I'll feel embarrassed if this has been there for weeks, and I've just seen it today.

I'm feeling very tired this morning :faint:
After work yesterday I was at a town meeting until 9pm.
Tonight will be busy too. I'm leaving work and then picking up some items for a client, and then going to one of the places they are putting their art, and seeing the decor of the place. Sometimes I feel like I'm an interior decorator, when I'm not - it's the fun part of my job:goodvibes!!!! Then we have a little shopping to do for the party, so we'll be getting home later again tonight :faint:

cheeringmom - I have been quite busy lately ::yes:: After this party is over, I won't have anymore planned events at the house until Thanksgiving :woohoo: So I'm hoping to eventually get some Sundays where I can sleep in, and relax a little bit.
**Congrats to Sam on getting her job!!!!:cheer2:

SeeWhat - Where are you from again? I can't remember. I hope it cools down soon for you :wizard:

Danauk - Thanks, for the good luck - I need it!!!! ::yes::

Well, I must go to work - lots to do!!!
Have a great day!!!

Dana, I like it too. Love your baby rabbit!! so adorable!

Belle, how are you guys holding out?

SLO you need to slow down girl! You are quite the busy bee! I feel lazy compared to you and I think I do a lot!

I guess Geffric is still out at Disney. We leave in about 9 days. ugh so much to do

Sam got a job! She is working with the Army in their Public Affairs office. She will be living in El Paso TX Anyone familiar??

NC Beast called his mom last night. She had a rough night. The oldest son is wanting her to start going through Andy's things/clothes.

NC Beast had a rough start this morning. He turned on the tv and saw some of My Life (a Michael Keaton movie) as he got ready for work.

Seewhat102 degrees, wow! It is around 65 here at the moment. I must say I am looking forward to the 90 degree Florida heat in a few weeks time.

You will enjoy the heat so much! Your trip is getting close:banana:

SeeWhat - Where are you from again? I can't remember. I hope it cools down soon for you :wizard:

I'm originally from Seattle but I live in San Diego. Now that i'm back up in Seattle i'm wishing I was back in California where it's cooler!

Seewhat Is it San Diego zoo that you work at? I remember going there 7 years ago on my 1st ever trip to America!! We stayed with my friend who lived near Vegas, then went to stay with her mum who lived in San Diego. Oh and we had 5 night in Vegas too, that was the start of my love of the place!!

Well the rain finally stopped this evening, so I got the pergola painted (light blue), now I just have to paint the deck tomorrow and we are almost done! Pete then just has to put the lights up and sort out the new pond edging. At the moment though he is busy putting the new ceiling up in the garden room and sorting out the new floor (he decided yesterday he wanted to re tile the floor and took all the current tiles up!!) I have my girlfriends from work coming for lunch on Tuesday so everything has to be done by then!!

I was working at the Wild Animal Park. My sister works at the zoo though. She helps train the birds of prey for one of the shows. I'm in Seattle working now but i'll be going back to California for school in about a mont.

Good luck with all the work. I'm sure it will look amazing!

Seewhat We went to the wild animal park on that trip too, I love wild animals so in 3 days we did the zoo, the wils animal park and sea world!!

Well I am quite irritated with Disney today! I planned my trip and booked my ADR's at the 90 day mark according to the schedule Disney posted. I puropsefully booked an 8:05 ADR in the MK (and you all know how hard they are to get!) on a non EMH day so I could eat and take some pictures with few people in the park. We were then also going to go to MK the the following day for EMH. Well Disney changed the days over so now instead of having a breakfast before the park opens our breakfast is now during EMH. Plus they have changed some of the evening EMH's we were going to attend and decided AK is now going to shut an hour earlier for the day we planned to go there. On the plus side they have extended the DHS times by an hour and added a 2nd Fantasmic (if there was only 1 we were going to skip it, way too crowded!!)
So I guess today after doing the outdoor painting (no rain forecast at last!!) I will then have to go over our plans and change things!!

I hope everyone else is having a good day.

How frustrating! :headache: After all that planning :faint: I hope everything can get switched around ok and you still get the ADRs you want!

Yay, I managed to get my planning re sorted. After the initial panic about my breakfast ADR in the MK now being during EMH I realised that as I could not see the headings at the top of the calendar I was reading it wrong!! They haven't changed the EMH days after all, they have just changed a few park hours. So my ADR's are still good. We also decided today that seen as we are now going to miss the shuttle launch as it has been posponed again we are going to drive out to Kennedy to go to the space centre where we will at least see it on the launch pad. I loved the space centre last time so am looking forward to going there again. Plus at school the year 2 and year 5 children study space so I will take loads of pictures for their teachers to use.

Well better go, I have done quite a bit of internet pin trading this week (I thought I would try to do some trades since I have the time at the moment), so I need to go package up some more pins to post out tomorrow. I am quite impressed, I have 17 new pins heading my way!! And I might have a few more trades agreed tomorrow!!

Good afternoon everyone, my it is quiet on here today, I guess everyone is enjoying their weekend.

So far today I have been in to town to get some of the new reliece Disney store pins, then went straight to the post office to post them to some American friends. I also got a cute Eeyore purse for my WDW trip this month. When I go to America I always have to take 2 purses so I don't get my ££ and $$ mixed up! Then I came home and did a little DIY. This evening we were supposed to be going to the firework display with our friends, but they don't want to go now as it has been raining where they live all morning (although the firework display is an hour away from where we live and I checked the forecast and it does not include rain!) Oh well, we are going to go anyway as a) we already bought the tickets at $15 each and b) we cancelled a family event to go to this thing with out friends in the 1st place! So I have got the picnic basket and cool box out and the food is in the fridge ready to go in the boxes just before we leave, the camping chairs are down from the loft and the camping blanket is in the car ready to go.

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Hi everyone. It's another wet, rainy day here. But that doesn't matter. We have a birthday party at a gymnastics place, and then we're taking the kids to the circus. It's going to be a very busy afternoon.

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for me. A chapter in Ian's life has come to an end. His last day at the place where he's gone to school and camp from the time he started - at 18 months old - was yesterday. And though Sophia will still go there for another few years, I was bawling my eyes out at the thought that my little boy is now moving on to another school - a school he will most likely attend for the next 14 years. I know it's a good thing, but I'm just so sad because his experience at Temple E was just so wonderful - he had great teachers, has lots of friends (most of whom will be returning there for Pre-K), and learned so much. He truly blossomed there, and for that I'm greatful. Still...
On the other hand, Ian is excited to start his new school. He's already met most of his new classmates at summer play dates, and his teacher is coming over for a home visit after we get back from Disneyland.

I haven't been here since Thursday morning
Sorry I've been MIA - mornings have been busy getting to work early, and yesterday I had no electricity all morning.

Today is the girls family bday party, so I"m going to have to make this quick (Stephanie's bday was 7/22 and Katie's will be 8/21).
I woke up early so I could get things ready, and then be out of the house by 10am to pick up the cake, and the balloons :cake:

I can't get over the fact that it's August, and we have the windows open, and I was cold the last 2 nights - it's just not right!!!! We have the pool heater going so the pool is warm for the kids today. I hate putting the heater on, because it's costs so much $$$, but the pool chemicals cost alot of $$ too, so I want the pool to be used.

Danauk - I'm glad all your WDW plans are going to still work out for you:thumbsup2

RRBB - Congrats to Ian for graduating from his one school:cheer2: I was sad too when Katie graduated from her daycare:sad1:, because A.) she's gone there since she was 6 weeks, and I love these people. B.) it's means my baby is growing up. C.) it means that she's grown up so much, that she's starting kindergarten.
Time flies by way to fast!!!!!
I'm glad Ian is excited about his new school, and these moments are always harder on us, the parents, than it is for the child

To everyone else - :wave2:

I gotta run - have a great day today!!!

On Friday, Kevin took Stephanie and Katie to the Bears training camp in hopes of getting alot of autographs. When Kevin went on the Chicago Tribune website he found this....

Bears2009.jpg

They were very excited to make the newspaper :teeth:

Slo I love the picture, it looks like they were having fun. I hope you managed to get sorted for your party today and you all had fun.

RRBB It's great that Ian has met most of his classmates already, i'm sure he will have a great time at his new school.

Well today I am in a bit of a sad mood, my pet hamster Sitich died this morning. I know dwarf hamsters don't live very long, but he was so cute!

We did however have a rain free day and we managed to get all the painting finished on the deck and got the lights up. So here's a picture of the finished structure. I thought I would take a night picture as it looks so pretty!!

garden022.jpg

Tomorrow I have loads of work to do though, we still have some indoor DIY to do, we had to take up the floor in the garden room as we saw lots of bees flying in from outside, when we took the floorboards up we found a bee hive under there. So now we have to replace the floor and tiles! Plus now most of the DIY is done I want to do a major house clean tomorrow to get rid of all the sawdust that seems to get everywhere (I blame the cats paws!!) Plus I need to go shopping as 5 of my work friends are coming over for lunch on Tuesday.

Well it is late here and we had a late night last night, we went to watch a firework competition and didn't get in until gone midnight. The fireworks were really good, although 2 of the teams choose the opening of the Illuminations music for the start of their displays. I was not impressed as there was no floating barges or floating globe moving along the river in front of us!! Perhaps I know that music and firework display a little too well!!

I just drove into town.. this morning we were in Dalton Ga.. so it has been a long day.. will do a trippe tomorrow..just wanted too say hi..kids had a great time.. DH not so much..

:cheer2: Slo---awesome picture of your hubby and daughter!

:cheer2:Geffric---Welcome back!

:guilty: Danauk--- I'm sorry that your pet Stitch died.

We had a quiet weekend. We had been having storms/rain daily. MIL has been busy with her thank you notes (she estimates that needs to send out over 350+). NC Beast is doing okay. Last night, he dreamt that his dad fussed at him for cheating on his diet. NC Beast weighed in Sunday morning...4 lbs. lost this past week.

Oh man...I am really tired this morning!!!! :faint:
Our after party lasted until 12:30am, and I made it to bed around 1am :faint:
We had a lot of good laughs, but I wish today was not a work day.
Thank goodness I can't drink, or I would really be tired

The girls party was a great success!!!:thumbsup2
The kids had tons of funs (they got to swim for awhile, so that made them happy), I had a great time seeing my friends and family :goodvibes We have barely any leftovers, so that's good too ::yes::

Danauk - Beautiful picture of the garden!!!:goodvibes
**I am sorry about Stitch  I had a hamster for over 5 years, and I was very sad when he died too ::yes:: He is buried in my parents back yard.

geffric - Welcome home!!! :) I'm sorry your DH didn't have a good trip :guilty:

ibounce, and Belle - :wave2:

Well friends - I gotta go get ready for work
Have a great day!!!

Evening all!

Thanks for your complements on the garden, I am really glad we have finally got it all done. The very last thing we need to do is sort out the pond lighting, we had lights in there, but the seals on them were getting warn so Pete wants to put new ones in.

Slo I'm glad you all had a fun party!!

Geffric Sorry your DH didn't have a good trip. Did you do anything fun though?

NCBelle I can relate to daily rain at the moment. On the plus side at least I will be ready for the daily downpour at WDW in August! Congratulations to NCBeast on his weight loss. I really need to concentrate more on that after our holiday.

Well my day today hasn't been very exciting, housework, grocery shop, going to the post office. Very boring really. I did have some pins arrive this morning from the trading I have been doing (I have traded 20 pins in a week!) I also realised that I need to buy a new large pin bag when I go to WDW as I am getting short of space in my current ones. But then I will have one from WDW, DL and DLRP which is quite nice!!

I guess I should go and do some work. 5 of my girlfriends from work are coming over for lunch tomorrow and I need to go and bake a cake!

Have a nice evening everyone.

evening all

I did a lot of laundry:laundy: and cleaning and grocery shopping today..

NC B - tell DH congrats on his weight loss..
sorry that your MIL is getting pushed to sort through Andy's things.. it took my brother and I at least 3 months before we could face the task and then only an hour at a time before one of us started crying.. very difficult.. not anything she needs to rush into.

Slo---awesome picture of your hubby and daughter! Glad the party went fine.. hope that you get some sleep tonight..

DanaUK - the back yard is shaping up nicely. thanks for sharing the pics.. sorry to hear about Stitch.. :grouphug:

Thanks for all the wishes about DH.. it wasn't that he had a bad time but.. he is "parked out".. of course he could have stayed in the resort and rested.. We were at OKW and AKLV and part of the problem ( I think) is that we split the stay.. too much moving and packing for my taste.. Anyway, I think he needs an Adventure by disney trip or another cruise next time..

Morning all,

Geffric What did you think to the AKLV? We will be at AK in 2 weeks time, can't wait to stay there!!

I'm just stopping by quickly this morning, my friends will be over for lunch in an hour, I'm just dissing whilst the floor that I just mopped dries!!
