SLO it is never easy to fire someone but you made the right decision. There will be tons of people dying to get that empty slot on your payroll!
Dana, sorry to hear about your BF's moving. We are military and it happens to us all the time and never gets easier. Just make the effort to stay in touch and I know they will do the same.
Off to finish up some errands

The thought of sending her out the door by 7:30am makes me sad - her and I have our morning routine together. I better stop talking about it before it makes me sadder

. When it was time for her to go, she went with no problem, which I was releaved about (she is a REAL mama's girl. On X-Mas Eve she was chosen to put baby Jesus in the manager, and she started crying, because I was lectoring and couldn't go with her (Stephanie offered to go, but that wasn't good enough), so I was thrilled she went w/o tears yesterday). While Katie was with the teacher, I had tons of paperwork to fill out. While I was filling out the paperwork, I could hear Katie answering her questions confidentally, and without nervousness, which I was releaved about
. When we were ton, the whole thing took about 40min, so not to bad. Katie now says she is looking forward to school, but we'll see what happens in August - I think it will be a different story then

Actually, I realized by yesterday afternoon that there was no way I could do it. Went out for one hour running some drive-through errands and by the time I had lunch and cleaned up us was exhausted!Just a quick check in. Not going to work today or tomorrow...Peg yelled at me and said "THE DOCTOR SAID TWO WEEKS!"Actually, I realized by yesterday afternoon that there was no way I could do it. I can imagine how exhausted you must be, because I remember how tired I would be after chaperoning daycare trips to the museums in Chicago. There's something very stressful about making sure all those kids are safe and not getting lost.

I hate it when I build something up to be great, and then I was let down.

Glad you are on the mend. I stopped by your desk yesterday - only to see you weren't back yet. I'll be out and about all weekend - I can always make deliveries if you need anything. Just send me a PM if you need anything. Then perhaps a trip to my sister's house (cause I'm sick of my house after eight days). She has some comfy recliners with a view of her beautiful back yard, so it will be a nice change of sceanery.![]()
