Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

Tonight I am doing whats called a "Ladies Night Out" which is sponsered by Stephanie's schools PTO. I'm going to have a couple of tables, where I'm going to set up a mini store. I'm hopefully going to sell alot of stuff, but most importantly, generate alot of awareness about the store existing, and what I can do. My insurance friend is going to help me, and I"m very grateful for that. I bought us both a dinner ticket, because they are suppossed to have a fajita bar there - I thought that sounded good :goodvibes So, please wish me luck, because I'm really praying for this to be a success.

Gotta run - have a good day!!! :wave:

Sell! Sell! Sell!
Only 264 Days 15 Hours 44 Minutes shopping days left till Christmas!

Wallyb I guess I better get some christmas shopping done then if Christmas is that close!! lol

So this evening I plan to relax. We have ordered Indian takeout for dinner and I have a nice bottle of white wine in the fridge!! Tomorrow we are going shopping, clinique have a bonus time on so I am going to get a few things (so I can get the free gifts!!) plus I need a new bag for next week.

Ooh, better go, the food is here!! Have a great evening everyone.

Good morning everyone.
Well today I have a busy day. In a minute we are heading out shopping. The place we like to go is an hour away, but it a great shopping centre. I need to get the last few bits for our trip, plus we need to stop in at IKEA for a couple of items as well (I love IKEA!!)
Then this afternoon I have baskets of washing to do and sort and cases to pack!!
Then I have to do the usual, I'm going on holiday so I have to do a major house clean before we go for no aparent reason!! Anyone else do that!!
Right better dash, Pete is ready to go!

Good morning! NC Beast had to be up before 5 am for his turn for Saturday coverage. We had some thunderstorms during the night so I kept Jessie in the living room and we watched tv because NC B. needed his sleep.

Danauk--- Have a great holiday!

:wizard: Slo-- :wave: Good luck!

Ibouncetoo--I hope that you are feeling better.

:surfweb:

What a long day yesterday!!!!
I hate the days that I'm home only to get ready for work, and then only to go straight to bed (which was at 11pm) last night - very long day!!! :faint:

Thanks for the good lucks, to those that gave them
I didn't sell tons, but I did generate alot of awareness, so that's good!!!!
Many said they were going to have to come in, because they had something to do :thumbsup2

Danauk - Have a fabulous vacation, and a fabulous 2 weeks off of work :cool1:

To everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I'm off to get ready for work
The morning there is going to consist of putting my store back together, because I took 3/4 of it to that show last night :rolleyes:

Have a good day today!!! :wave:

Morning..

God ibounce ...I so wish you and your sister were on my cruise.
I'm more than a bit concerned about the people on the cruise and how Paul and I will be "welcomed". I've been chatting and lurking over at the cruise thread and I have to say - some of those guys have some very ultra conservative thoughts. And that worries me.
I hope Paul and I will be too scrutinized.
But hey, I guess you can't change what you can't change
and we'll just have to hope for the best.

I am sure you will have a great time on the cruise. Remember that many of the people are early seating and you won't see them 'cause they will be on a different time table than you and Paul.

But I think you have a great idea... a TAG cruise.. with all of us on it .. what do you think??

Funny you should bring that up - there's a guy over at the cruise board - who is the nicest guy -
Andrew DEREK UK I think he's from Essex. :woohoo:

He is on our cruise on August.. wanna come on that???

:surfweb:

I didn't sell tons, but I did generate alot of awareness, so that's good!!!!
Many said they were going to have to come in, because they had something to do :thumbsup2 :wave:
SLO - I creating awareness is good.. lots of things will come of that.. so hang in there..

Then I have to do the usual, I'm going on holiday so I have to do a major house clean before we go for no aparent reason!! Anyone else do that!!
Right better dash, Pete is ready to go!

I do that too.. I need to come home to a clean house.. makes me feel better..

Have a great vacation in DLP .. and enjoy your time off..

Well today is urber busy.. got lots to pick up for the ceremony and making dome of the food.. I have a meat trayplus fruit and veggie trays, so i thought I'd do a pasta salad, and jello mold, and then a bean thing so my vegatarian ( sp) sister and BIL can eat..Then i want to make lemon squares, picking up the cake and cookies, but I think I'll do a chocolate oatmeal peanut butter thing too and brownies and if I have time between the cooking and cleaning and laundry I'll do choclate covered strawberries..

off to start the marathon.. talk soon..

What kind of Something?

Don't worry....I'm still picking up lottery tickets, just in case. I also dreamed I won final jackpot Bingo on my cruise! :thumbsup2 I haven't peeked in at your thread lately...are there any singles or 'youngish' folks? (Don't know why I think these may qualify as more broadminded, if you know what I mean). I know there's the one guy from Phoenix, but I don't know him at all, though we have exchanged PM's and I know where he works...he told me once to stop buy and say "Hi"...this was well over a year ago. Sometimes on the shorter cruises, it's more difficult to find DIS folks you feel siimpatico with, as there are just smaller groups. On a good note, I think they tend to have more 'last minute' folks show up...so there's still hope.

Slo, sounds like yesterday's adventure will pay off....hope you get lots of drop ins now!

Geffric, regarding your 'to do list'....all I've got to say is better you than me! :lmao: Though I do get to do my taxes, which I didn't do last weekend due to feeling ill and general slugishness.

DanaUK, have fun shopping!

NCBelle, you're a good wife to stay up with Jessie so Beast could sleep. ::yes::

OK....off to check in with my cruise mates that I will be meeting FIVE WEEKS FROM TODAY!

.

Well I'm back from my shopping trip. I managed to get all that I wanted and the car is now ready to drive in France. We had to get some things for the car we don't necessarily have to have in over here but do have to in France. We had to get, a car first aid kit, a car fire extinguisher, spare bulbs, high visability jackets for each person in the car, plus a thing you stick on your lights to make the beam shine differently (aparently the lights are set differently due to us driving on the right.) We also have to have a warning triangle and GB sticker, although we already had the triangle and we have a GB sign built into the number plate. We haven't bothered with all this stuff on previous trips as the shopping centre we go to is literally 2 minutes from the tunnel (the shopping centre and tunnel share the same car park wall.)

Oh well, I better go and put the next load of washing in and go and collect all the electrical leads and batteries we need to take!!

Hi everyone.

I had an interesting dinner last night. My husband and I got a baby sitter and went out to dinner with one of my high school friends who is in our town. This friend is going through major life change. She is transsexual. She is in town supporting her fiance's sexual reassignment surgery.

I found it very strange to visit with somebody you know quite well, only they are not the same gender that they use to be. Example: My husband was asking about how messy my room was in high school. She had never been inside my bedroom because my parents were strict and did not allow my male friends in my bedroom. So I was left to awkwardly say that boys were allowed in.

It is hard to hear about the various levels of acceptance from her family. Maybe I am naive and look at thing too simply. If you know this person, a parent of two school aged children, you would know there is no way the man I knew would 'choose' this life for himself, his soon to be ex-wife and children. So it makes me upset to hear that one of family members is no longer talking to her. It is one thing to be opposed to something in the abstract, but this is your loved one.

But in all, it was a great visit and we will probably get together one or two more times before she leaves.

Well I am glad that you are accepting and able to "deal" with teh changes. I am sure that she values the friendship. I am sorry that her family member is not dealing well with this but it has ti be hard to take.. maybe the family member will accept the situation after some time

Hi everyone. I can't believe I'm still up at 1 am, but here I am. So how's this for some shocking news... In exactly 5 weeks Sophia will be a year old!!! :scared1: This year has gone by so fast. I'm really kind of sad to think about my baby girl turning 1 already. And her birthday party is scheduled for the week before her actual birthday. (I just don't think many people would show up if we had it on Mother's Day.)

MIL is out of town so we've had a couple of really busy weekends. Last weekend after OF got off work we took Ian for a haircut then to buy a bicycle helmet for him. I'm paranoid for him to even ride his little tricycle in the driveway without it, especially after the news that the son of a business associate of OF's family died last week after a cycling accident. I think the boy was only about 12 or 13. And from what I've heard he was wearing a helmet at the time, too.

One of the local synogogues here has an annual chili cookoff, so we went to that last Sunday. All I can say is YUM!!! Well most of them were quite tasty. But some were actually rather gross. Still we had a good time and saw lots of friends. The cookoff seems to bring all the Jews out of the woodwork - kind of like the High Holidays but for fun rather than obligation.

Today we picked out and purchased a "Big Boy" bed for Ian. It's actually a bunk bed with full on the bottom and twin on top. It's scheduled for delivery sometime next Saturday. Now we just need to decide if we're actually going to have the top bunk set up now or wait a few years to do it. We have a video monitor mounted in the ceiling and I won't be able to check on Ian anymore if we put the top bunk up now. (I usually look in on him before I go to bed and when I get up in the morning, as well as while he's napping and also if he's sick.)

Tomorrow we're going to pick out a new floor for Ian and Sophia's bathroom. That's our solution to the missing grout that allowed water to flood into our kitchen when the toilet overflowed a few weeks ago. I hate that 4" tile and white grout anyway. And I think while we're at it we're going to replace the floor in the guest bathroom, too.

~~~
I wish I had time to truly catch up with everyone, but as it is I'm lucky to sit down at the computer to check email - that's read, not necessary reply - everyday. I feel like such a bad Tag friend these days, but I really do think about y'all all the time.
I had no idea that things were different. What happens if you don't do it? Jail????
They can confiscate your car and scrap it and then fine you and take your licence off you!!
I'm glad you had a nice meal with your friend. I'm sure she values your friendhip at this time when some members of her family are treating her badly.
RRBB :yay: Hi, I can't believe Sophia is nearly a year old!! And Whoooo for Ian getting his big boy bed!! Say Hi to Ohannafamily for me, I miss seeing you both around here.
Well 36 hours until we leave to DLP and today we wake up to more snow!! I have never had snow on Spring Break before :scared1: I really hope it clears before our drive. It has forcast a little snow for DLP next week. But we have good waterproofs and quite a lot of the attractions there are inside anyway because of the European weather. I think Main Street and the castle would actually look really pretty covered in real snow!!
Oh well, better go, I have so much to do today. After our day shopping Pete finally got his clothes out to take and decided he needed some new black shoes and new black jeans. So we have to go shopping again today!!
Have a great day everyone, I'll check back in later before we leave.
What beautiful weather we are having!!! :sunny:
We intend on being outside all day today :thumbsup2
Thanks to all that gave well wishes for the store.
There are so many people that don't even know that the plaza I'm in exists, that I need to change that. Once people know about me, I'll do a lot better :thumbsup2
geffric - Good luck at the Eagle Ceremony today!!! :wizard:
ibounce - How's your sister doing? I miss her around here!!! Tell her I said "HI" :wave2: and to come by and visit!! :)
Danauk - That's interesting that you have to have that stuff in your car in order to drive in France. It's good you got it all, and now you don't have to worry about it :thumbsup2
BB - Your friend sounds very interesting!!! I give these people alot credit for doing what they feel is right, even if it's not accepted by the masses. Good for her for following her heart, and I hope everything gets better for her!!!!:wizard:
RRBB - Wow, it's so hard to believe that Sophia is almost 1:eek: Time does go by way to fast!!!! I understand about how you feel sad about her getting older, that's how I am with my Katie. I easily accept Stephanie getting older, but not Katie - it's weird!!! I guess it's because I know she's my last, and I don't want her to grow up:rolleyes:
**Congrats to Ian on getting his big bed - that's a huge milestone!!! :cheer2:
I best get going and start my day
Have a good day everyone!! :wave:
Then I have to do the usual, I'm going on holiday so I have to do a major house clean before we go for no aparent reason!! Anyone else do that!!
I totally do this!!!
Danauk - I forgot about my other Brit obsession - Mika!
Well back to "cookie quest" for me :laughing:
I didn't sell tons, but I did generate alot of awareness, so that's good!!!!
Many said they were going to have to come in, because they had something to do :thumbsup2
This is really good news.
Good for you :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
I am sure you will have a great time on the cruise. Remember that many of the people are early seating and you won't see them 'cause they will be on a different time table than you and Paul.
But I think you have a great idea... a TAG cruise.. with all of us on it .. what do you think??
Hey Thanks so for the support.
Sometimes I think I think too much. I'll get a grip.
How did you know Paul and I were on the late dining assignment?
I also dreamed I won final jackpot Bingo on my cruise! :thumbsup2 I haven't peeked in at your thread lately...are there any singles or 'youngish' folks? Hey - thanks for being our Sherpa on this.
We'll find someone who "get us" I'm sure - It just might not be a DIS member-
then again it might be - we'll see. Buy more tickets!
Just popping in to say bye!! We leave in 5 hours and I need to get some sleep first. Have a great week everyone, I'll be back on Friday!!
We were outside all day yesterday - it was great!!!! :sunny:
The girls weren't happy that there were some chores to do before playing (picking up sticks, and picking up rocks out of the grass), but I told them I'm not asking them to do anything that I didn't have to do as a kid. That didn't make them feel better :sad2: But they got over it as soon as they were done, and were able to do whatever they wanted:yay: :yay:
My daylillies are popping out from between the rocks, and I moved the rocks away from my hostas, and they are starting to show signs of life - that alone makes me feel like winter is officially over!!!! Oh, and our Cardinals are back:woohoo: and that definitly says SPRING!!!!! :flower:
BB - Thanks for the receipe, I'll have to check it out!!!! :)
Wally - thanks!!! :goodvibes
Danuak - Bye!!! :wave2: Have a great and wonderful time!!!! :cool1:
Well, it's bedsheets changing day - so I need to get started with things.
Have a good day today everyone!!! :wave:
OMG!
What a Day - been at it since 6 this morning :eek:
finally able to drop by and ay hi - :wave: Hi!
