one of the easiest things to do for the door.. is take black construction paper and do the ears ( black 1/2 circles) .. the door number is round so you have a Mickey Head right away..just put little magnets on the back.. I'll get a picture tonight from the other 'puter to show what it looks like..

CMOM - Geoff is thinking about Internationl relations.. same as poly sc.. i think.. although I had told him to put down Physics as his major ( he got a 5 on the AP exan).. maybe that way he'll get $$$$

Our cruise Part starts on November 30 but we have an land part (WDW) before
we get to Disney on thanksgiving day! Staying at AKL

We're ordering from oriental trading co. and windy city novelties- some pirate stuff and some disney stuff -
and then we'll get lots of good crappy candy!

ummm Geffric a 5 on Physics???? wow weeeeeee that is freaking amazing!!! Freshman can put down whatever they want for their major. it doesn't matter. What I did hear is that if you really want to get into your reach school, put down education if you are a male. They need male teachers. Just a hint.......

I am getting so excited!!!!!
This family needs this vacation so bad!! I see my kids all the time, but Kevin sees them so rarely (like an hour or less a day), that they need to spend some time together. Kevin is especially in need of this vacation. With his work schedule, fire dept, several town committees, and the recent flooding in our area, he's exhausted, and needs some time away.

Today ends the second week of BistroMD...I've lost 5 lbs so far and it's all been pretty painless.

Hi all!

I has been forever since I posted. I hope all is well.

Tomorrow is Lily's 8th birthday party. We decided to keep the party small and are having a party service come in and do a Spa party for 8 girls. My husband is asking if he gets a facial too

My countdown to Disneyland is at 10 days!!! I can't wait for the birthday party to be over so I can focus on Disney. I stress about parties too much.

Slo - word of warning since our girls seem to be very similar. My youngest has been much more of a behavior challenge in school. She has the same teacher Lily had for two years. They have kind of a modified stop-light behavior chart. Green, Yellow, Blue, Red. In two years Lily never had a Blue. This year my youngest has had 4.

She is really smart - but so darn pig-headed. And to make things worse there are two other girls just like her. They are like the three stooges. It is unreal. We don't want to move her out of the class because we love the teacher and it is the magnet class.

I think part of the problem with the class make-up is that it skews stronger students. It is sort of like a class of leaders but very few followers. The majority of the kids in this class will fight over positions in line. One little boy actually accused me of 'short cutting' him in line when I stood beside my daughter to fix her backpack or something. My daughter has used the person in front of her as a human shield to prevent somebody from getting back in line after they stepped out.

I'm so glad it's Saturday - I"m so tired of being at work until 7pm.

Little Sophie just had her first feel of frost underneath her paws
I don't think she liked it, because she was shaking (I'm sure because she was cold). I can't believe we had frost - I guess the rest of my flowers are going to go now, because this frost will be bad for them.

**Isn't it funny how kids can throw you for a loop. Hopefully things clear up with the behavior issues so you can stop wondering what to do. Stephanie had a lot of behavior issues in 1st grade, and I asked for her to not be put in the same class as certain girls for 2nd grade. I hope I don't have the same problem with Katie - she's my calmer child (at least now )

Hi guys, sorry I have been MIA again for a while. I have been off work sick for a few days this week, but am feeling much better now. Today I have been planning stuff for our trip to Disneyland Paris in 3 weeks time. We are driving across and using the tunnel, but there was a fire a month ago and part of one tunnel is closed, so the train times have changed. I'm not sure what time we are crossing now, I think it is a little earlier which is fine by me! Plus the French driving laws have just changed so we had to go and buy some more high visability jackets for the car (each passenger has to have one). We still have no word of our inspection yet, but we know it will be October/November time. I hope we have it before we go away as then I will be able to truly relax whilst we are there.

Well thats enough rambling on from me. I hope everyone is well. I'll go back and read the thread for a bit to catch up now!

Hey all - we survived the birthday party!!!!

I liked having used a party service. While I didn't like spending the $$$ I did like the help. The girls are at the age where parents don't stay at the parties anymore - but the kids still need a little help with their behavior

BlueBayou---I'm glad that party went well. I remember the day before my 8th birthday..one of my cousins was born plus my Dad was on the West Coast for 2 weeks for his job. I got a nice race car track toy and he bought a t-shirt from San Diego Zoo (on his day off during TTY).


Danauk--- I hope that feel better soon. I hope that your trip to DLP goes well.

Slo- Jessie does not to get wet (rain, frost, frozen precip..) except that does not mind some snow at first (until she has to go).

Stephanie served her first mass ALONE yesterday, and she did great!!!!! I was so nervous for her, and my hands were even cold and clammy I was so proud of her when Mass was over, and she received SO many compliments. One lady we know (we sit in front of her every Mass) bought her a rose (the Knights of Columbus were selling roses after Mass) for doing so good. Stephanie was beaming with pride It was a very nice moment for her!!!!
