What a great day we had yesterday!!!

Stephanie did awesome with getting her ears pierced
She picked out nice cubic zirconia (sp?) studs, and was very brave getting them put in. She did want to sit on my lap, and she did hang on tight to my arm, but that's okay - I like the fact that she still needs her mom to feel secure She said her ears stung for awhile, but by the time the ice show was over, she said they had no pain anymore

The ice show was one of the best I've seen
It was put together wonderfully, and the coreography was fantastic - alot of fun!!!

Then we went out to eat a Ed Debevics, which is like a 60's hamburger joint with really sarcastic servers, and our server was great - so much fun!!! Stephanie didn't know what to think of him, because she's not used to a server being so rude He was great and really deserved his tip!!!

It's still really cold here, and I'm waking up to a -3 temperature. I hate this kind of weather - it's so cold that it takes your breath away when you go outside.

Well, I better run - Monday is sheet changing day on all the beds

Slo, Stephanie was so brave having here ears done. I remember clinging to my mum when I had mine done too (and I was 13 at the time!!) My mum had her ears pierced at the same time too. I'm glad you had fun at the show as well.

Bluebayou I wish it was 75 degrees here too. It hasn't snowed yet, but my car was frozen over this morning.

ibouncetoo wow, that seems like a bit of a nightmare getting your reservations sorted for your cruise. I hope you manage to get your outings sorted.

Well, here in my family we are now on official baby watch. My niece/nephew is due tomorrow (though I am guess s/he will be about a week late!) My SIL said she hasn't had any false contractions or anything yet.

That's so exciting. I didn't have any warning when Ian was born - no braxton hicks or false labor or anything - until my water broke. He ended up being born on his due date, so there's still "hope" for your SIL.

I have been in a whirlwind today. DH had to travel for work today. My youngest DD has cheerleader practice this evening, and my oldest DD had to pick up books from the library after school for a research paper. Plus, I have to finish up grocery shopping. Since DH is still on the road, I have to manage finding time to do all of this. I need Calgon to take me away tonight!

Good job for Katie onn the ear piercing! My Kaitlyn did it this summer after the new baby was born. The 3 x daily cleaning thing was annoying, but all is good now. I recommend TJ Maxx for good kids earrings!

Wow....I didn't know how rough those cruise reservations could be. No wonder we couldn't swim with dolphins.....

Well, I am the sickest now. And we are gearing up for a winter storm. I always feel like I should run out for groceries..... But our pantry is full, and we'll probably get less than 3 inches....

Well, they aren't usually quite THAT difficult. But it is a special itinerary and I'm sure the ship is mostly repeat cruisers, so that made for a pretty large group trying to book at 90 days. We have over 125 cabins of DISers alone! (Lordy, we are going to have a good time!)

Today I took Sophia to get her 9 month portraits. They came out so cute, one especially where I think she looks like a little doll. I can't remember if I posted last month's portraits, so here's a little something I put together a few weeks ago showing how she's grown.

Stephanie had her ENT appt last night, and he agreeded with our Pediatrician that Stephanie's tube needs to be surgically removed . I was so happy that he said that, because she's so tired of her ear draining, and taking this tube out should stop that (fingers crossed). We scheduled the surgery for next Friday - the 22nd

Thanks to all for their kind words about Stephanie getting her ears pierced I will have to show these posts to her, they will make her so happy!!!!


Danauk - How exciting about your niece/nephew coming Does your SIL live close to you?

I am happy that your daughter's tubes will get to come out. I know that will be a big help! We never had to deal with that, but my friend did. She did talk about her son's ears draining often.

No; I didn't get to soak in a tub last night. I didn't even stop running around the house until close to 10:30 last night. I am so tired this morning. I am hoping today will be a bit less hectic. We are supposed to meet up with friends after school today for some visiting time and fun. That will be a treat!

Nope, that's how many we've accumulated over a year. I knew upon booking that one couple I've cruised with before was going to book also. AFTER booking, discovered several people I've met from previous cruises or DIS meets at WDW were also on the cruise. And, we had a meet at Disneyland last spring, so I got to meet more cruisers then too. The sad part is the few families that dropped out in the past week, when final payment came due. I'm sad not to get to meet them now.

Nothing going on in Flordia. Belle, you have a great memory. Sam is a junior this year and is off to NYC this summer on internships...cha ching.

My son is waiting patiently to see IF he gets into UF. I read statistically is it harder to get into UF than Harvard...more applicants few spots etc. so we do not have our hopes up. So we may be a "house divided" with one at UF and the other at FSU.

Finally going on my first Dis crusie in November. Going with a good friend of ibounces...Dee. Did take a short crusie this Christmas with the family. Had a great time. I do know now that I do get seasick. UGH> But hey, use the patch and have fun regardless. We were the top family winner of the "Cruise on a stick" trophies. My kids were into EVERY contest and planned to win. Heck, I have no idea how they got so competitive. I am soooo laid back. hehehe

Good to see you guys. I am off and on DIS waiting for an April code. Want to use the AP's one more time before they expire. Not renewing this year. Will take a year break. Blasphamy I know.....

I do know now that I do get seasick. UGH> But hey, use the patch and have fun regardless. We were the top family winner of the "Cruise on a stick" trophies. My kids were into EVERY contest and planned to win. Heck, I have no idea how they got so competitive. I am soooo laid back. hehehe

Ah, the lovely and talented FairygodMother. We just cruised together in December (a little 3 day excursion). You'll love her sarcastic wit (which sometimes doesn't translate well on a message board)...she's a hoot!
