Recap of our trip---I will try in a day or two. I have Jessie back on schedule. She was tired for most of the week and very needy in attention.
* Geffric--go ahead with the picture---bad hair day for me.

Hi guys, sorry I have been MIA for a while. Work was crazy last week, we seemed to have lots of meetings after school so I had to do more work in the evenings.

I am glad all you folkes who have just got back from your trips had a great time, and Slo I am glad your store is getting back to normal now.

Yesterday we went shopping, our local Disney store has Christmas decorations in already! I bought the dated plate decoration as I get that one every year, but I had to stop myself from buying more!!

Yesterday we also ordered our fireworks for bonfire night. The place we usually get them from isn't selling them this year so we had to order them from the factory. Here in the UK anyone can buy fireworks, but Pete has been on some pyrotechnic courses so he can safely use larger fireworks. Luckily we have a field next to our house which we use the larger fireworks on. So this year we are having a firework party at our house for bonfire night which should be fun. Some of our friends are coming over, and all our family (my parents, Petes parents and my BIL, SIL and nephew.) The pub whose garden backs on to our street always has an amazing display too so we plan to watch their display from our garden whilst having food, then set ours off!

Hope this works...

Hi - I'M BACK!!! Overall it was a very, very good trip. I would not say great - but really good and a ton of fun.

The heat was a pain. It was not what I expected and put a damper on things at the start - 90 - 94 degrees for the first 5 days takes a lot out of you. The humidity was just a killer. I was not use to it.

My kids LOVED Maelstrom. Rode it 4 times in a row. Rode it in a boat alone. On a more crowded day - they waited 20 minutes for it. Another time - they waited out an E stop to ride it again.

I think my favorite dark ride is now Figment. It is so cute.

My DD9 really wanted to do AK first - and we did even though it was 94+ degrees. I knew it was not a great idea to start out at that park in that heat - but it is what my DD9 had her heart set on. I should have insisted on something different - but I didn't. It got us off to a rough start.

Things picked up as the week progressed - and where were very special moments (DD9 getting 'picked' on laugh floor).

We were able to relax - but you always feel that there are things you missed.

I had such a great day yesterday!!!!! :yay:

Kevin made me such an awesome breakfast.
Then we drove to the pumpkin patch, and then to the apple orchard - it was such a beautiful day to take an autumn ride
Then Kevin surprised me with a little birthday party with family and friends - it was so nice. He decorated the house with Mickey Mouse decorations, got my favorite pizza, and got a Mickey Mouse cake. It was all perfect!!!
He really made my birthday very very special :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

ibounce - I forgot that you lived in Indiana. I waved to your old house for ya :)

Seewhat - I hope you feel better soon :wizard: What did you eat???

Danauk - When in Bonfire Night? That always sounds like so much fun!!!:cool1:

geffric - Great pictures!!!!! :)

BB - Welcome home!!! I'm sorry your trip wasn't the greatest :guilty: I agree about the humidity - if you aren't used to it, it can really take a toll on you. I'm glad you had some good times though - that's good!!!!:)

Belle and ibounce - Thanks for the happy birthday wish!!! :goodvibes

Also, thanks to those that wished me "happy birthday" in other places :goodvibes

Well, it's time to go get this work week started
Have a good day today everyone!!

Slo Bonfire night, or Guy Fawkes night to give it its real name is November 5th, but fireworks parties are often held on the Friday or Saturday nearest to the 5th. Bonfire night is one of my favourite nights of the year, I love seeing all the fireworks in the sky and the smell of the bonfires. Our town has a huge bonfire down by our boating lake. The council make a huge guy to sit on the top which burns, then they have a fireworks display too. I am trying to persuade Pete to play my Illuminations CD through our outdoor sound system whilst our fireworks go off, I have a blow up globe too which I would push across my pond! But I guess the effect won't quite be the same somehow!!

I love Nyquil!!!!:lovestruc
I took my recommended dose, and climbed into bed at 8:50pm, and was asleep by 9:30pm, and I slept all night!!!!:thumbsup2 (I barely slept the night before, and I'm not feeling 100%) I'm hoping to feel a little better today, because I hate it when I have upper respiratory issues :guilty:

Danauk - Bonfire Night is coming up :yay: It sounds like so much fun!!!
I like the idea of the Illuminations Music:thumbsup2

I'm off and running!!!
Have a good day today everyone!!!

I'm still not feeling 100% - I hate not feeling good:guilty:

Now I need to vent about something.......
I have ocular rosacea, so I can't drink alcohol, because if I do, than my eye(s) will look like pink eye the next day. I was diagnosed with this in 2005, and I haven't had alcohol since. 2 nights ago I took some Nyquil, to help me sleep, and yesterday my mom says to me, "Your eye is red in the corner." I instantly knew it was from the Nyquil. Kevin has told me for awhile that he's surprised that I can take that, and have it not affect my eyes. By last night, my eye was really goopy, and I didn't sleep well last night, because I was worried about it getting so goopy, that I wouldn't be able to open my eyelid. So, I can't take Nyquil now, which really upsets me, because I love the stuff!!!!:guilty: That's my personal vent for today - sorry!!!!:guilty:

Well, I need to go get ready for work.
I'm starting to go to work early on Thursdays, since I leave a little earlier (my employee comes in at 3:30pm). New business has been really bad, but I still have old orders to do. After these orders are done, I'm going to be pretty bored, so I better start getting some Christmas business now!!!!!

Have a good day!!!

:wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:
Slo--- I hope that you feel better soon. Ask a pharmacist or you doctor on alternative to Nyquil....I think that there are some regular otc stuff available---read labels first. :wizard::wizard::wizard: PD for better health and business.:wizard::wizard::wizard:

:surfweb: I'm almost ready to do a brief travel report. We have been trying to figure out the new health insurance options that NC B. needs to put in soon.

I still can't shake this yucky feeling:guilty:
My sinuses are killing me, and I'm hoping I'm not getting a sinuses infection.
I'm taking the "good" Sudafed, do keep me decongested - I hope that helps.
I just hate having a yucky feeling:guilty:

Belle - Thanks for the PD - I need it!!!

To everyone else - :wave2:

Have a good Friday everyone!!!

Morning.. or what is left of it..;)

SLO - hope you feel better..this rainy eweather doesn't help.

well Geoff came home last night for the weekend..( yeah).. he looks great, is adjusting to college and his classes and the dorm.. he has tales of parties
5.gif
and
12.gif
and other college stuff.. so I guess he is adjusting.. LOL..

so today it is raining, he is sleeping and I am doing his laundry.. hasn't done it since he left?? OOOOO it smells gross..

big thing today is the football game tonight.it is the FOX game of the week... hope it stops raining. BRRRR, it will be cold..

Hi guys, sorry I have been MIA for a few days, my laptop died!! I am now on the spare laptop that i borrowed from my classroom whilst I am waiting for my new laptop to arrive (the bursar at work ordered it today for me!)

Work was wierd for me today. The assistant that I have worked with for 12 years was transferred to another class today (she has to cover for another member of staff who is going in to hospital) and I met her replacement for the 1st time (a new member of staff.) It will be wierd working without her, but I still have my other assistant who is excellent and the new lady seemed like she will be very good.

The nice news is that we broke up for half term today so I am off school next week. I do have loads of work to do but I can't actually go in to work as our building work is starting tomorrow and the school is shut all next week so they can take out asbestos beams (they were installing contamination shower things after school today for the work men.) So for the next 6 months our school is going to be a building site which is fun, but it should look really good once it is all done.

Slo Hope you are feeling better today.

My cough syrup with codeine was such a blessing last night. I was so glad that I still have almost a full bottle:thumbsup2 If I didn't have that, I would have kept the whole house up last night:rolleyes: I'm so tired of feeling like this!!!!!!

geffric - Thanks!!!
Enjoy your weekend with Geoff :goodvibes I'm glad he's adjusting to college life - that's good to hear!!!!:)

Danauk - Thanks!!!
**Good luck with the new assistant :wizard:
**Have a great week off work!!! :cool1:
**Asbestos in your school:eek: I'm glad they are taking it out. How old is your school?

Well, it's time to get ready for work.
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Our school is almost 30 years old, but the current building work will be the 2nd addition to the school since it was built. Most of the work being done is internal work which is good as the weather has really changed these past few weeks and it is getting cold and rainy now.

Hi everyone. Just a quick check-in as the kids are driving me nuts at the moment. We leave for WDW tomorrow and we're no where near packed. And of course we have a crazy day - Ian's soccer game, lunch at MIL's and Halloween party at Little Gym this evening. I'm hoping MIL will keep the kids after lunch for a little while so I can come home and throw stuff in the suitcases. I really don't want to be up all night packing (though I probably will.)

We took the kids to a school football game last night. It was homecoming and the last home game of the season. I can't say we saw much of the game, but Ian had a good time looking for and playing with his friends.

Have a great weekend everyone. Gotta get ready for a soccer game now.

Robin, have a great time at WDW!

Nothing much to report here.....same old, same old.

Oh....two weeks till I'm a senior citizen and get DISCOUNTS! I'm looking forward to $5-6.50 movies from now on! :woohoo:
