Escape Guest Requirements?

Ok so DF and I were (and still kind of are) planning our escape wedding to be with us and only us. However he doesn't think his mom will be ok with it, and the more I think about it, even though it would be easier I might end up regretting not having my dad there aftrerall.

So my questions are:
1. Do your guests (we're only planning on 9) have to stay at the same resort as us?

2. Are they also required to stay the 4 night minimum? Or could they just come, stay overnight (i'm sure they'd stay longer) and then go home?

3. Do they get a discount on the room at all? I think i read there's a discount for park tickets, but is there a discount for the room as well?

4. Will they be picked up from the resort or do they need their own transportation there?

I'm not sure if my parents would even be up for going that far, so if they don't it will probably stay just us. Also, we're going to make them promise not to stay the whole time we're there, because we can see them calling all the time and wanting to "hang out" on our honeymoon... joy.. haha

TIA!!

That's the beauty of an Escape Wedding! Guests don't have a minimum stay requirement and they don't have to stay on Disney property at all! :yay: Just the Bride & Groom are required to stay on Disney property for 4 nights. :woohoo:

Oops! I just answered this!

They don't. Only Wishes brides get the wedding discount because they're required to book a certain amount of rooms. However, if you wind up booking during a value season there's a really good chance of a public discount code to be released!

For example, when we went on vacation December 10th - 16th 2007, there was a general public code released that could be applied to an existing reservation! There's a ton of information on the subforum Codes and Rates under Disney Resorts. It's not guarenteed, but historically if your dates fall under a range where there's been public codes released before then you'll most likely get one! We saved a nice chunk off our vacation with it. Sorry if this is confusing!

4. Will they be picked up from the resort or do they need their own transportation there?

You mean to the ceremony? You would have 4 hours of consecutive limo service and you could use that for guest pickup as well! The limo can make multiple trips as long as it's within 4 hours total. We're having our 12 guests picked up via limo from their resort which I think is pretty cool! :goodvibes Hope this helps!

Max guest is 20 for Escape including you and the groom, they don't have to stay at a Disney Resort you and the groom have to do the four night min , and yes the limo will pick them up wherever you tell them to my family stayed at a condo and the limo picked them up.
