Hi Everyone,
So I was planning on doing a "Reception" at Ohana's after our escape wedding at the Pavilion, but just my luck Ohana's will be closed the day of our wedding . So I have tried to read through as many escape recaps /reports to find out where everyone else has had their reception. I am so running out of time so If you can please post where you had your reception and about how much it was per person and any handy /helpful details. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

We had our dinner reception in 1/2 of the Wine Room at Jiko. We had 20 people total and the f&b min was $2500.

I know there are places you can do it that are not as pricey, but we really had our hearts set on Jiko.

Where are you having your ceremony? You could do The Wave at The Contemporary maybe...

I know there are other Escape brides who will give you some input too! :goodvibes

I'd have to say you might be better off not having your reception dinner at Ohana. They have amazing food and the atmosphere is wonderful but they really seem to suck at large party reservations. We had a horrible experience with them and I know of a couple other brides who had trouble as well.

Anyway, I was an Escape bride and we had our reception at Citricos. It was amazing and I have a far more detailed review in my PJ/TR. I also have some pictures of the table set up and what not. It worked out wonderfully because we had our ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion, cake cutting/champagne at Whitehall Patio and then a cocktail hour at Mizner's Lounge. All the locations were close to one another so once our guests made it to the GF after the ceremony there was no additional travel needed!! :goodvibes Citricos offers a couple different options starting at about $70/person which includes a 4-course meal and non-alcoholic beverages. They were fantastic to work with and our guests really loved dining there!

We are doing the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's. It's $200 per person but I think it is going to be amazing!

A lot of Escape brides have restaurant receptions and so do not have a DJ. It is possible to have one if you book a privately catered reception through DFTW. If you are going down this route, however, it may be as cost-effective to look in to having a Wishes event. Good luck anyway!!
