Im trying to get a quote Sat 10 Feb to Sat 3rd March, but keeps coming up as
Let's try that again ...
Your stay must be at least 1 days, and no more than 21 days

Where am I going wrong?Fly on Saturday to Saturday + 3 weeks

Thanks,
Lynn

Sat 10th Feb to Sat 3rd March would be 22 days if you want your last night to be 3rd. But if you want 21 nights last night would be Friday 2nd March and fly home 3rd.

BUT if your last night was Saturday 3rd, then that would be "Sat 10th Feb to Sun 4th March".... Your "to" day is the day you fly home and not your last whole day...

"Sat 10th Feb to Sat 3rd March" is still 21 days...

True but it depends how the site is set up and worded, which appears confusing in a way as nobody usually does a 20 night stay as that would mean leaving on say a Saturday and flying home two weeks Friday.

Be easier once we can see the actual site and its wording.

I don't know, some wierd people (like me), book very odd days/dates/durations...

This October we fly out on Wednesday 4th October and back on Saturday 21st - so 17 days. Next trip we fly out on Sunday 31st December, back on Saturday 20th January - so 20 days. I know, I know... I am COMPLETELY odd... ;) :)

Very true :)

Must admit we do odd nights, as in 2004 did 12 nights and at New Year we are doing 11 nights. Just thinking that charter flights are generally 7, 14 or 21 night durations.

I see - disney.co.uk. I can only think that there is a website problem (my best guess that it is trying to do something clever with leap years - it ISN'T one in 2007 - and is getting confused...). Programmers! ;)

My suggestion? Phone them on their number and ask for a quote (0870 24 24 900.). You don't have to book when you quote them. You could mention that there website isn't working too (over your dates).

My other suggestion is to also get a quote from Dreams Unlimited (http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/) - they can be very competitive.

Hope that helps,
Boo

Definitely a problem with their site as no matter which month you enter for 22 days ie 21 nights it tells you too many and when you put in for 21 days it comes up with 20 nights!!!

Give them a ring.

No it isn't always cheaper to book directly with Disney - infact sometimes other agents (like Dreams) are cheaper and/or can offer additional incentives (like, if you book a cruise, they sometimes offer an "onboard credit"...).

Disney basically has two prices - the one it offers the general public (i.e. you) and the one it offers travel agents (like Dreams... although, in reality, they may offer certain certain travel agents more preferential rates). The agents then put their commission on top of that - so it often depends on what size commission the agent wants...

So it is often worth shopping around. However some companies - for example the Royal Caribbean cruise company - don't allow travel agents to undercut them (i.e. offer cheaper prices). That sounds rather like anti-competitive practice to me, but still... :confused3

Disney are not necessarily always cheaper (as mentioned above) AND some TAs (like Dreams) tend to offer more personlised service - i.e. you will have a name and a direct email for the travel consultant handling your booking. If you deal with Disney directly, you will probably use a general phone number/email address for any enquiries and could end up speaking to anyone.

To be honest, I am GENERALLY not a travel agent fan (certainly not MOST of the ones int his country). But have had a good agent with Dreams and a couple of other US travel agencies (they tend to know their stuff and are very helpful). If Disney was cheaper, I would book direct with them. If Disney and Dreams were the same, I would book with Dreams (because I - and others - have had good previous experiences with them...).

Sorry, rambling too much :)
