Erhmahgerd, another Herneymern TR! A September 2012 TR! Update 11/18 x2!!!

OMG that Lobster looked absolutely delicious. It was HUGE!!! My mouth watered just a little bit! LOL!! I am hoping to get to Disney next fall. I absolutely LOVE the decorations the decorations!! How was the weather while you were there?

Definitely mouth-watering! It makes me wish I liked lobster!! :rotfl2: The weather was really great. It was still pretty hot, but the humidity had gone down a lot. The lack of lines made it a million times more bearable!!

Congratulations newlyweds! I'm following along! We stayed at CSR for a week in Aug. and I am currently in serious withdrawal. My DH is not the Disney fan I am and although we had a great time, he says he will not go back unless we can stay GF CL. I'm wondering what bank he is planning on robbing? :rotfl2:

Congratulations!! I am experiencing the worst withdrawal...STILL! My family all agreed they wanted to come along on our next trip, so we all settled on April. I guess I can't be too depressed:rotfl: We will NOT be staying at GF CL again anytime soon, that's for sure! Our next trip is at Pop Century, but I'm still ridiculously excited about it. I love value resorts:lovestruc

I hope you can convince your hubby to come around for another trip!!:goodvibes

First off CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
I’m loving your TR thus far! It’s giving me goose bumps because it’s reminding me my wedding and Disneymoon. ((Many years ago)) We were married at the Poly and honeymooned at Disney for almost 3 weeks. That was one of the best times of my life. It’s hard to believe that it’s been 11 years and 2 kids later. We’re hoping to renew our vows there for our 15th anniversary… Although I’d like to do it sooner… Just sounds weird to renew at 12,13,or 14 years? Doesn’t it? Lol.
:confused3
Anyway……… I LOVE your photos and love how happy you and your new husband look. :lovestruc

Our friends give us a hard time for going to Disney all the time too…… “Why don’t you go someplace new” They ALWAYS say while rolling their eyes. We LOVE it and that’s all that matters. :rolleyes2
So neat that you were upgraded….. I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to afford to stay there. (At least NOT while we have our kids with us)) Which will be at least another 16 years.
I’m looking forward to reading more…

Three weeks and a wedding at Disney?!?:lovestruc Amazing. We are already discussing a vow-renewal at Disney in 10 years:rotfl: It would be magical! 15 years wouldn't be too long, only 4 more years to go for you!!:thumbsup2 I completely agree with you about people's comments about going to Disney all the time. We just love it, and that is all that matters! It never gets old for us.

Thank you and thanks so much for joining in!!

great update and pics.

Narcoose's is so good. I had that appetizer and dessert also.

Looks like it was a fun evening.

Congratulations! Loving the TR so far :thumbsup2 The food looks delicious! Can't wait to read more :)

Loving your reviews!! DH and I honeymooned at the Poly last year... our anniversary is September 3rd and we are going back for a first anniversary trip in a few weeks! Excited to hear all about you trip :cool1:

Hi there :)

Joining in...

The Grand Floridian looks amazing. That's so awesome you got an upgrade!!

I like your MK photos of the holiday scenery.

I know the feeling of being too tired for EMH. :(

Looking forward to more.

-Amanda :cutie:

Sorry I haven't been updating too frequently!! My work schedule has been nutty! We are also in the process of buying a new house! I will definitely try to update more often. I don't want to neglect this TR!

Day 2: An EPCOT Afternoon

We finally rolled ourselves out of bed at 7:30 for a morning of EPCOT ahead! We had lunch ADRs, so we wanted to be up fairly early for breakfast so we wouldn't be struggling throughout our morning. We made our way to the lounge for some finger foods and coffee. We had a nice little seat overlooking the pool. It was very relaxing. We didn't take any pictures during breakfast.

We finished up and headed out to the monorail. We usually stay at value or moderate resorts when we go to Disney, so this was a luxury!:cloud9: We arrived at EPCOT and made our way through baggage check and into the beautiful park!

I just love the music and the environment of this park:lovestruc

We made our way over to The Land pavilion to get fastpasses for Soarin'!

IMG_0435_zpse7addbab.jpg

This truly has to be one of my favorite pavilions. The smell of it is indescribable. I only dream of this pavilion when I think about this park. We got our fastpasses that were for 9:30. It was about 9:15 at the time so we decided to jump on Living with the Land!

We love this ride. I think it's sometimes underrated. It's so relaxing mid-day after being in the heat. Afterwards, we used our Soarin' FPs!

IMG_0482_zps638b9596.jpg

One of my favorite rides in Disney!!:goodvibes

We went back outside to make our way through World Showcase. I just realized we didn't get too many pictures of the actual pavilions on this trip while looking through the album

I remember spending quite some time in UK pavilion, since Robert was on a mission to find some Dr. Who merchandise! We had heard on our last trip in June from a CM that it was being discussed. We had hoped it would already be there. Unfortunately, no such luck. A CM was telling us it takes about 18 months to get an idea into the works. Maybe on our April or November trip!:upsidedow

Anyway! We went onto explore the UK

Such a relaxing ride, especially when it's just sooo hot out!:crazy2: I love the effects on this ride!

Afterwards, we made our way back to World Showcase for our lunch ADR!!

Hmmm, this TR must be super lame. I'm on page 2 and reaching my third installment:sad2: I hope maybe things will perk up! For those of you that have been following, you may have noticed a change in my title. I was thinking long and hard about a good title for this TR since the day I started. I feel like my original one just didn't sum up our trip. For those of you that DO understand this title, you are my new best friend!! For those of you that do not, let me explain...

This is the Erhmahgerd girl. You may have come across her online. Well, throughout our Honeymoon (and even now), hubs and I have a tendency to "talk" like her. We find it ridiculously amusing. In fact, some people on our trip would look at us like we had 10 heads. It definitely made for good laughs.

Let me leave you with one more picture before I continue with the regular scheduled programming...

:rotfl:Love it.

When I last left off, we were on our way to WS for our lunch ADR!! I was really looking forward to this one since I'd heard such amazing things about it. We trotted our way over...

Can ya guess?!? Gosh, I just LOVE the landscaping in Canada! Sosososo gorgeous!

If you guessed LeCellier from that HUGE giveaway...you are RIGHT!

IMG_0529_zpsa798bfdb.jpg

We had 11:30 am reservations and checked-in. We waited a total of 10 minutes before being seated. The staff sang their version of the Canadian national anthem, which was cute.

We sat down in some section and our server came over and told us we were in some section of Canada (which I totally can't recall). She grabbed our drinks and brought us some deeeee-licious pretezel bread! Yum yum. Since we were on the DxDP and just HAD to get an appetizer (such a shame, I know), we both went with the Cheddar Cheese soup!! This was ah-mah-zing. The pretzel bread dipped in the soup...Erhmahgerd:thumbsup2 I'm sorry I was NOT good at food pictures on this trip so I did not get any of the soup or bread.

For our entree, we both ordered The Mushroom Filet with Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes (hubby with green beans - healthy. Yuck.)

Words cannot describe the deliciousness of this dish. :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc I am SO sad LeCellier is become 2 credits on the dining plan next year and I JUST discovered this place. SAD.

We ordered our desserts which we barely touched, paid our bill, and went to explore WS!!

Up Next: Exploring World Showcase!

Awesome upgrade! And yay for Narcoossee's pictures, can't wait to try that lobster.

I read your report this evening and I just love to read about trips where the pixie dust is over flowing!

I guess I will either be looking up ermahgerd or asking my teens what they know about it, either way I am curious!

Great job!

April PTR Update #1

As noticed in my signature, we are planning another trip for this April! I figured I would add some PTR posts about it during this TR.

For this trip, we will be going with my entire family for the very first time! I have taken many Orlando trips growing up as my parents own a timeshare there. But, this is the first time we will all be doing Disney Disney-style!! I must say, we have stayed at my parent's timeshare 1 or 2 times since my first stay on property, and it just wasn't the same...at all. I did not feel the magic half as much as I do on-property! Nothing against those that stay off-site, I just prefer on-site much much more!

Now, my family consists of:
DH & I
Mom & Dad
SIL & Brother & their 2 little ones (age 3 and 6 months - we'll be celebrating a 3rd birthday this trip!!)
My 2 Brothers

We will be staying at POP Century for 7 nights! My DH and I have stayed here once before and have enjoyed it a lot! I'm looking forward to going back:thumbsup2 We got a great CM discount from 2 wonderful friends that have been working for Disney for 2 years. This really was the main reason we could do an on-site trip:banana: We will be using the regular DP. This just makes it easier for pre-payment reasons.

SO FAR we have:
-Booked our flights
-Made ADRs!

Current ADRs(I'm a changer!)
Raglan Road (first night!)
Chef Mickeys (nephew's 3rd birthday!! - he LOVES Mickey and this will be his very first time!)
Boma
'Ohana (a must-do!)
San Angel Inn
BE OUR GUEST! YAAAY!
Coral Reef

Any reviews on any of these places?! The only places we've done already have been 'Ohana and Coral Reef which we really enjoyed.

Our flight leaves at 7am and we will arrive in MCO at 9:30! SCORE! I love early arrival at Disney!! We will be meeting my brother and SIL (and niece and nephew) at the resort. They will be in Tampa the week before with SIL's family. They will be driving and joining us for 3 nights! My 2 other brother's will be meeting us there (as planned) when their flights land. They have not booked yet.
My parents will not be arriving until the next day due to my dad's work. SO, the first night will be sibling-bonding! Yay! This is when we will be going to Raglan Road at DTD.

Sunday morning my parents will arrive and we are still making plans for that day. This night we will be going to Chef Mickey's for my nephew's birthday:woohoo: DH & I will be going to EMH at MK this night after dinner hopefully.

Monday will be AK day! My nephew LOVES animals so my SIL thinks he might love this park. This night, we will be having dinner at Boma. My brother and SIL and kids will probably head back to the resort right after dinner as they will be taking off early the next morning:guilty: DH & I plan to head to EMH at DHS this night for a bit!

These are the only plans we have for now! I will be updating this PTR along as I write this TR and plans pop up!

Just read the trip report so far. Wow great upgrade at GF, so lucky.
Looking forward to more...

KIM

Regarding your ADR's, DH and I do San Angel every trip on our last night. It's our tradition. The atmosphere is awesome, especially if you can sit near the river. The food is quite good as well. -Amanda

I can't believe I never found your TR before, because honestly Erhmahgerd is like one of my favorite things to say. Hahahahaha. :lmao:

I can't wait to hear more. That's some great pixie dust at the start of the trip with your room upgrade. I've heard great things like that happening at the Grand Floridian before. :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear more.

I'm in! I'm a sucker for a good Disneymoon TR. How awesome that you were upgraded to a honeymoon suite, it looks really lovely! I also remember how tired we were the day after the wedding, so I give you guys big props for being up and on a plane early the next day!

Everything looks like its going really well, you can't beat a lunch at Le Cellier!

Joining in! I am also normally more of a lurker, but am subbing to more and more TRs as we get ready to plan our first trip to the World in 14 years (we also Honeymooned there) :)I hope by the time we get to visit again, EPCOT will have their Doctor Who merchandise, as my DH and I are both fans!

Great update and pics.

I ate at all but San Angel and BOG and they were all good.

Chef Mickeys is really for the characters and not the food.

Thanks for your input! We actually booked it for our last night. I just love the avocado margarita at La Cava:thumbsup2 Looking forward to one with dinner:rotfl:

Can't wait to hear more.

I say it all. the. time. It's almost annoying. I use it frequently at work and everyone stares at me like I have 2 heads. I'm always like "HOW HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD THAT PHRASE, PEOPLE?!" :lmao:

:welcome: Getting up early for our flight was definitely a challenge, but knowing we were going to Disney made it a lot easier!! I do admit, we were completely beat the entire trip. We slept…a lot!:rotfl: Still a very memorable honeymoon nonetheless!! LeCellier was just wonderful:lovestruc I'm so glad we gave it a try before it became 2 credits. Thanks for joining in!

:welcome: Yay!! So exciting you're planning an upcoming trip for the first time in so long! I love planning trips. I begin planning the next trip before the last one I'm on is even over:rotfl2: I hope the merchandise is there when you get there!! When is your trip? Happy planning!!

Great update and pics.

Thanks for the review! I've heard Chef Mickey's is a bit disappointing when it comes to the food:sad2: Hoping my nephew will really enjoy it for his birthday, though!
