Does anyone know if the first aid centers have epipens on hand? TIA :)

I am not sure if they have Epipens but they do have a sharps disposal box at the First Aid Stations in all of the parks.
You might want to try to get a more complete answer by posting this question on the disAbilities board.
Have a great time at WDW :flower:

I'm not sure about the first aid station but, my sister carried her own when we went. There was no problem with them from security at Disney or at the airport.

Thanks for the responses everyone! DH's epipen is expired and we are between insurance right now so I was kind of hoping they had them on hand. I think I would feel safer just biting the bullet and paying out of pocket for it though JIC. He hasn't needed to use it in several years (he is allergic to bee stings) but it could happen anytime, anywhere! Thanks.

Oh my Gosh!
If someone needs an epipen, dont risk getting stung and having to a first aid station while he is blowing up like a balloon and having his throat close up on him. :scared1: The last thing he is going to want to be doing is running to a first aid station......
Anyway, I'm off my soap box now.
If you go to your doctor, they may have an epipen sample that he can have.
If not, then the doctor can contact the company to send them samples, (they can fedex them) to give you one. It is only a matter of a phone call or a fax.
We always have 2 on hand at our office for patients with no insurance.

If your doctor wont be helpful, then contact the company yourself.
The company is DEY, and the website is www.epipen.com
But your doctor will have better luck getting the sample.
Good Luck!

I have taken my Epipen each time we have gone. I have never had any problems getting it into the parks. I would not rely on the frist aid stations to have them because they are not very convient in an emergency sometimes. They are palced around the park but there are some places where it cou;d take upwards of ten minutes to get to one. Never leave something like Epipen emergencies to chance. Have a great time at the world.

Please get an epipin of your own. If you need it you will not have time to get to a first aid station. You need one with your child at all times, not just in WDW. This is one of those things where if someone told me 'I can buy an epipin or eat this week,' I would tell them, 'you will not starve to death in a week.'

Agreed!

Thank you all for your info and advice. I already told my DH to make himself an appt and to get a new epipen (MONTHS ago *sigh* before the insurance issues) so I am really hoping that he will take himself to the dr and do it before our trip. He is just not understanding how important this is, so I wanted to see if perhaps they had them there JIC. I *do* understand the importance of having our own - unfortunately DH is not good about stuff like that and I can't exactly make him take care of it nor can I do it myself. (He has to go to a new physician as his moved so I can't even call up and ask for a new Rx). Again, thanks for the info and advice.

Did another physician take over the other physician's files? If so, they would have record of him using an epipen.
