I guess I am a poster child for the "addonitis" disease. I now have 20 DVC contracts.

I've told the DW, "Honey, 900 points is my limit. I promise I won't be adding on any more..."

But wait, when will sales start at the Villas at the Grand Californian?

Sorry DVCMike, but a poster child is usually one who is curable. Maybe you can be the poster child for 1-800-ADDS-OFF, while the rest of us will be the subject of many ENVY posters!?! Glad to hear that you added on BLT though because you give great insights on the various resorts to all of us.

I've been bit twice, but luckily they were smaller contracts. Last summer I got double developer points and have had some great extra vacations this year using those developer points. Problem now is that I am used to having those extra points....

Its been about 6 months since my last case of addonitis and the annoucement of THV has got me thinking.

I have been immune to "addonitus" until I heard about the Treehouses...now I am scouting for a cheap SSR resale contract!

Me too...especially when I see contracts in the 70's per point!

We added on and bought more points at AKV in August and now are really wanting to add on at BLT. We have decided to breathe a little and see if it is something we truly want after the initial excitement wears off. Of course, I am already planning BLT trips in my head so I know where our plan is probably heading.

Trying to stay strong here as well. DH and I only have one contract and we know we want more points. It's just deciding when and where we want to buy them that's the hard part right now. We do travel to other places than WDW, so we wouldn't need them until 2010 or so since we have a Disney cruise and WDW planned for next year. We'll see what happens when we stay at OKW in a few weeks, though. I told DH that I wanted to see the models in person and then make a more "rational" decision.

My dh said to me yesterday....."you sure are on the boards a lot lately.....you are scaring me!!" Then he proceeded to say ..."before I know it..you will have me buying more points to go with our AKV we just bought in Aug. or because of the THV announcement." He knows that SSR will open back up....hmmmmmmm have 300 at SSR now....if they had a good incentive and a good price......whose to say ..........

So Mike can we interest you in a little THV??? You could make it an even 1000 and isn't 21 considered a lucky number??

I was all for adding on at BLT....that is until I saw the decor and points chart. I think the part that really nixed the deal was the decor. I can't see myself staying in that decor for longer than 2 days. I think I would go nuts in there. I do plan on trying it though maybe do a split stay at some point when or if I get lucky securing a reservation at 7 months. Also, It seems that if you use your BLT points to stay at any othe DVC resort, you are paying way more for your room than anyone who has purchased someplace else. It just seems like a waste to use BLT points to stay at OKW which has the lowest point for rooms. KNIM?

I already have SSR points and I am psyched to have a shot at the THV at 11 months. Not that I would need to very often.

I'm kind of thinking of adding on at AKV or more at SSR. It seems to be a better deal. We also love staying at SSR though

Well I think I've got it all figured out....DD has a Florida pre-paid scholarship......so, starting in 2010...... she stays in the dorm room and I stay in a studio.....alot......by myself!!!!!!

I have little use for THV, since I rarely need a 3-BR unit and room for 9 people. It's usually just the DW and I.
