Epi Pen and Security

Something I didn't think about until packing my bag for the park. My husband is highly allergic to bee stings, and twice he barely made it to patient first which is less that 1/2 mile from our house. Will security have problems with it?

Nope, no one ever gave ours a 2nd look. Disney or airport security. I imagine they see them all day long...

I'm sure the disabilities board has more complete information on this subject but it should be no problem. You will not have a problem at all.

I usually bring 2-3 2 packs in. Because I am nervous that if DS has a reaction it could take emergency medical personnel quite a while to get through the crowds to get to us. Last trip a security member informed me that MK has a refill station in the park and emergency epi pens on hand. I still will bring one in, but it's good to know.

Bring more than one!!! You never know! I am allergic to bees as well, life threatening allergy, I've always brought my epi on board and in parks.

They are usually still in the box with the script taped to the box for flights and taken out and in my purse for the parks.

Never had a problem with the EpiPens we bring to the parks for DS(4). I keep them in a special zip-case in my bag, and the only hassle is remembering to unzip it at bag check I also keep the outside portion of the box it comes in from the pharmacy with his name and proof of prescription info on it for the airport just in case, but honestly nobody has ever given it a second glance.

They are mainly looking for weapons and such. Medical equipment isn't a problem.

I have had no problem with mine. I do not keep them in the box or have a prescription label on them either. I carry two and they are loose in the bottom of my bag, which goes through their bag check. No issues at all. The only time I worry about extra documentation for them is when I travel internationally.

I always bring epi-pens and they have never been questioned!
