Epcot World Showcase, left or right?

For years we went right...labour a year ago we started going left and we love it. Either way you can't go wrong. Try each direction during the same trip, spaced a few days apart, and see how it goes.

Was right until they bought in lumberjacks. Now it's left and turn around at the UK. I hate the sound of chainsaws in real life, bringing them to Disney didn't improve that feeling LOL!

Generally speaking, we head left first. I have found that the countries to the left tend to have things going earlier than the countries on the right (as far as the times of shows, etc).
I would agree the left side seems to be active.

Team Mexico.
But went we enter through the International Gateway we head toward France.

I'm totally backwards. Epcot is usually 2 days for me, so one day I'll walk back to around American Adventure and work my way back towards Mexico, then the next do the same, but walk back towards Canada.

We usually go left, but once the Frozen ride and the return of the Anna & Elsa M&G opens in the new building, I can see Norway being as crowded as "I wouldn't want to be anywhere near there"... that may persuade us to start right and get some fish and chips w/a beer at the Yorkshire County quick service in the UK.

This post made me realize a couple of things. First, for the past 6 trips we have always gone right. Second, we haven't made it past Japan since our honeymoon in 1996! A couple of reasons for that...DW loves Teppen Edo for dinner and the Yorkshire County fish shoppe for lunch and my DS12 loves to spend all his souvenier money in Japan.

We used to go left and head straight to Norway. We would ride Maelstrom and then go counter-clockwise to do Gran Fiesta Tour and then to UK to see The World Showcase Players. From there, we usually just continued on to France, Morocco, etc. Now that both Maelstrom and WSP are gone, and the fact that Gran Fiesta Tour never has much of a wait, we don't really have a set plan. Instead, we usually make lunch plans for World Showcase and then go whichever way makes the most sense. If we are eating at Biergarten, we obviously go left first. Rose and Crown? We go right.

Most people go left for the rides and just keep going. If you go right, right at WS opening, you won't meet the throngs until around Germany/China.

If with the family and the rides we walk straight to Norway, at opening, and then go counter clockwise.

If I'm on my own with my camera on my mind I go to the right.

If we enter from the main entrance we always go to 'Living With The Land' then walk through the floral area past the Imagination Pavilion which takes you out at the Refreshment Port so naturally we go right towards Canada.
If we enter via International Gateway, we go towards France as well probably exit via Gateway.

I ALWAYS start left when we come in through the front entrance. Then one stay we stayed at the Yacht Club, and the entrance is in the middle of World Showcase. It threw me off so badly.

I think we always start in Mexico. It's been just me the past 3 years and I would say I switched it up. Didn't have any place to be and had all the time to myself. I am thinking this year we would probably start in Canada and drink all the way to Mexico (at least that's how I heard to do it).

Margaritas defintely. But beware if you start in Mexico you may end in Mexico with all the tequila.

That's if I can get in to La Cava ... last time there was a line through the market waiting to get in :crowded: so Margaritas it was.

This is pretty funny. I think I've always gone left. It just feels 'right', lol. My trip in August will be with my bf who has never ever been to Disney, so we'll see if I brainwash him into my pattern! :rotfl:
