Last time we went, we just got a "little something" and all four of our family split it..for example we got a Churro in Mexico, Funnel Cake in America, Pretzel in Germany. We want something kinda small, and sorta unique to the country.

I'm wanting to do this again, but needing help with some of the countries

Mexico-Definitely Churro again. we might have to get everyone their own..lol
Norway-HELP...no clue
China-HELP
Germany-Pretzel
Italy-Cannoli? Italian Ice?
America-Funnel Cake
Japan-HELP
Morocco-HELP
France-Last time we got a crepe...it was not that great
UK-Fish & Chips
Canada-HELP

We'll be going during the Food and Wine festival...so if you know of things they'll have special for that time, let me know.

You'd probably have better luck with this on the dining message boards...but I can add that we really adore the little pastry shop in Norway & always get an eggroll in China - I know, not very imaginative but we like it ;)

Morocco - any drink with "orange blossom" water...mmm!

UK - DH like fish/chips... I don't go that way though :-)
Canada - uhm... beer?

France - The crepes aren't fresh, they just reheat one from the stack. However, I did find some amazing chocolates in the wine shop. They weren't cheap, $12 for a box of 30 individually wrapped chocolates (300 g / 10 ounce total). But they were decadent. The box looks like a cigar box covered in artwork. My daugher keeps her toy cars in it now.

Canada - it's embarassing. The only unique snack they sell is maple candy. And you have to have a very sweet tooth to enjoy more than one of those. I wish they had a chip truck that sold poutine (fries and fresh 'squeeky' cheese curds covered in gravy), but that's just wishful thinking. As per the previous post, I think that the best you could enjoy is a beer. Moosehead is tasty. Either that or a glass of chilled Canadian ice wine - it's the best in the world!

Norway- School Bread

Italy-Gelato

Japan-Kaki Gori (sp?)

Morocco-Bakalava

France-The have the BEST bakery!!! So ANYTHING from there!

Can you tell I have a sweet tooth???? haha

Mexico: Fiesta margarita
Norway: School bread or the sweet pretzel
China:Maybe some potstickers but I'm not a huge fan of much else
Germany: Bratwurst
Italy:Cannoli
USA: Turkey Leg and a funnel cake
Japan:Take your pick of some of their candy,I like the Morinaga Hi-Chews especially mango as well as the Puccho stick soda with the pieces of sodium bicarbonate inside. Also the Shrimp flavored chips with the wasabi,I love their candy.
Morrocco:I like Baklava but I've never had it there, hope to try it on my next visit.
France:Almond pithiviers and Creme Brulee
UK:Cadbury Flake
Canada:Only suggestion would be the Cheddar Cheese soup.

Since you are going during the F&W festival remember there will be many more nations represented then usual. You may not want to plan out exactly what you will eat as you will see many things you may want to try instead. Looking at all the info from years past it looks like there are more than 20 different snack booths set up.

Since Canada seems a little lack luster in the dining department, maybe you can try to snag a reservation at Le Cellier...

If this isn't possible, you can buy some maple candy in the gift shop.

I miss Canada's Beaver Tails!!!

Our family does the same thing. We'll buy a snack item and split it between us. It's a great way to try a variety of snacks at WDW!

I'm going to move this to our dining board.

Once F&W festival starts, I'm sure someone will post offerings from all the countries represented. If something is really good, it doesn't take long for it to get buzz on the boards and you'll know what you have to try.

We went during F&W awhile back and I brought a list of all the favorites from the boards to seek out.

I miss beaver tails too!

Here's my suggestions:

Mexico ~ Churro
I tried a margarita and it tasted like plastic. There's a new tequila bar. That's on our list for our upcoming trip.
Norway ~ School Bread
China ~ Potstickers
Germany ~ Gingerbread and Kinder chocolate
Italy ~ Espresso and Cannoli (I can't wait for the pizza place to open!!!!!)
America ~ Funnel Cake ($$$$ only takes cash $$$$)
Japan ~ Kaki Gori (shaved ice)
Morocco ~ Personally, I didn't care for the food in this Pavilion. The baklava tasted funny. Which was a shame because I like baklava.
France ~ Napoleon and Grand Marnier Orange Slushie
UK ~ Fish & Chips (One of our favorites!!!!) and a Bass Ale / Cadbury chocolates (Curly Wurly is my favorite.)
Canada ~ Beer
We dined at Le Cellier this past February and the only thing I can honestly rave about was the pretzel bread.

Have a magical trip! :wizard:

:goodvibes Jennifer

Japan- the Kaki Gori is a must!
Norway- Lefse is sooo delicious and school bread!!
Good luck!

All I have to add is:

NORWAY - LEFSE!!!! (pronounced Lef - sa)

My grandmother used to make this and it's wonderful (not as good as my grandma's, but pretty close.) It's very difficult to find good lefse, and the Norway bakery has it. It's like a tortilla, but made from potatoes - OK, that doesn't sound good, but it is. They roll it up with cinnamon/sugar and butter. Yum! Don't forget to order a carton of milk to go along with it!
