Epcot with no FP+?

That's good to know. We love Illuminations and watch it anytime we are there in the evening, but we might need to rethink that!

When we were there in June (crowd level 8 day), my husband and daughters got in line for TT at about 8:30 p.m. Posted wait was 40 minutes They were through the standby line and off the ride by 8:50. The could have gotten to World Showcase in time to watch Illuminations but headed for the buses instead to avoid the rush. We've seen Illuminations several times so they were content to just glance at the fireworks as they left. :)

Heading down Jersey week and we will be park hopping between MK and Epcot. I snagged Wishes and MSEP FP+ so if I keep these we will be Fastpassless for Epcot. DS9&5 only care for TT, Nemo, Figment--then we will focus on WS. We have MNSSHP evening before-- what would be best time besides rope drop to avoid a 100+ min wait at TT since I don't see an early morning for us? 60 mins we could do-- single rider not an option with kiddos. TIA.
If there are two adults going, one could stay with the kids while one rode the single rider line and got the rider-swap pass, then the other adult and kids would go through the fast pass line...
just a thought
of course, if there is only one adult, i would follow lucius best and rope drop...

Thanks everyone! Usually we are spoiled at Epcot since DH is a GM employee we haven't needed FP or FP+ for TT our previous few trips, but DH is not going this trip so that isn't an option. (GM employees can get in the FP+ line with their work badge anytime--tip if you know someone who works for GM you can FP+ Soarin and still have a "FP+" for TT). I talked with the boys and changed our FP+ to Epcot since we will probably get there early afternoon and TT is a must do! Wishes and MSEP are at 9/10 pm so if we feel like it we can head to MK after Epcot or maybe try to catch Wishes at the Poly beach if we head back to our resort instead.

The OP is another reason that hoppers are the devil... ok, maybe over stating it. But pick a park and enjoy your day. Hoppers for me means too much time leaving, getting in, parking, trams, buses, security, walking to the front, walking to the back, no FP's for half of the day. All of those things keep me from enjoying the park, and doing attractions. Many people think the dining plan is the ultimate Disney scam, I think that hoppers are. You pay extra to spend more time seeing and doing less.

Of course we are all different people, and we make our own choices for our selves.

Hoppers are the best perk available for us right now. We wouldn't like being stuck in a park that closes at 9 pm or earlier, and that transition time is a lot quicker if you have your own transportation. We visited all 4 parks in one day last summer, hit over 20 attractions and didn't even start until noon. It's all about understanding the crowd patterns and flow. Plus, you can't beat hopping into MK at about 8 pm on a morning EMH day and finding bumper to bumper traffic leaving the park.

The hoppers allow us to use our time more efficiently.
