I'm starting to plan our Epcot day. We have a breakfast ADR at Akershus, that day (before park opens).

My list so far of must do's:
Test Track
Circle of Life
Nemo
Turtle Talk with Crush
Soaring
Pick a Pearl
Living with the Land
Meet Mulan
Meet Mary Poppins
Illuminations

DD is very much into sea animals, so I know we'll spend time in that area.

Aside from this list, and just walking around and seeing the cool stuff around us, what else might interest 6YO DD at Epcot?

My daughter's favorite thing at that age was playing with the marionettes in the China Pavillion. It's actually still her favorite thing.

I wanted to ask too, how long will our Akershus breakfast take? We have a 8:00 ADR, park opens at 9:00 - wondering if we can make it to Test Track after breakfast, since we'll use our tier 1 FP for Soarin'

My 5 1/2 year old DD'S absolute favourite ride at any disney park is journey into the imagination with figment. Although I find it charmingly dated, she LOVES it and my DS 8 enjoys it as well. No disney trip is compete without a few rides with figment! The wait times are never long, so I would recommend you check it out!

The Agent P missions throughout World Showcase are really fun. If she likes Phineas and Ferb and even if she doesn't know who they are, she would probably enjoy the missions. My DD really enjoys the acts throughout world showcase. She has always loved the boat ride inside the Mexico pavilion. If you don't mind her getting sugared up, my DD loves Club Cool where you get to taste samples of different sodas from around the world. Spaceship Earth and Journey into Imagination are other rides not on your list that my DD has always liked. If your DD is a little bit of a thrill seeker, she might also really enjoy the mild side of Mission Space. It is similar to Star Tours at DHS if you have ever ridden that. I avoided it for years worried it would make me sick (I can't do tea cups) until DD finally got me to go on it with her when she was 6 or 7. I felt silly for refusing to ride it before that as it turned out I really liked it. My DD has always loved EPCOT- it is her favorite park other than MK.

meet Alice (UK), meet Belle in her blue dress (france), meet Aladdin and Jasmine.

In some of the different countries the CMs (usually at the kidcot stops) will write your name in their language/ alphabet - that's pretty cool.

The water ride in Mexico

Just wanted to add an alternate view. Went with my friend and her 7 year old daughter about a year ago, and she loved Circle of Life but thought Living with the Land was not very interesting except for the Mickey shaped watermelon (zucchini, squash? some kind of gourd).

In World Showcase she especially enjoyed the Taiko drummers in Japan and the acrobats in China.

If you don't care if you meet all the characters, you can be out of there by nine. If you want to meet all the characters, prepare to be there past nine. The characters were painfully slow when we went a few years back; if I remember correctly, we didn't get to see any of them (or maybe just one) because we wanted to be out of there by 9 and they were taking so long to get around.

I missed Alice - thanks! I did leave Belle and Aladdin off because we'll see them at Akershus.

Good to know about the names, DD will think that's pretty cool

We do want to see the princesses at Akershus. It's a good way for us to get a lot of princess M&G's out of the way for the trip. We did CRT last time, so we decided on Akershus this time. Good to know though, just for planning purposes.

Are you planning to spend the entire day from 8 am to after 9 pm at the park? That might be a really long day for a 6 year old and I find the walking in Epcot can get very exhausting, more than the other parks. My 7 year old would never make it that long and she is pretty good at keeping up with everything.

Yeah, I would plan on being there until at least 9:30 then, possibly later, and just consider it a bonus if you are seated where you are first to see the characters and can get out early. Also, ask to settle your check early on; that way when you finally meet the last character, you can leave right away because you will already have paid.

you're really unlikely to see Aladdin at Akershus (I suspect you mean Jasmine) - it is very cool to meet them (Aladdin and Jasmine) together as they play off of each other (just food for thought)

We do. We are bringing the stroller, and DD is actually pretty good at long days like this, so I don't worry about it too much. Worst case we head back mid-day. We're going to play it by ear

We actually love Circle of Life and have to watch it every time, but to each their own :)

When DD was 6, she LOVED Innoventions. She could easily have spent several hours in there doing all the activities, so try to plan some time for that. She also loved (and still does) Spaceship Earth, and the interactive stuff at the end of it.
