We have twice stayed at BCV as non-members, and are now in the process of becoming members (made our deposit, waiting to finalize). I know there are rooms with Epcot fireworks views, and I wondered if that is something that should be requested with the initial reservation, and what the likelihood is of actually getting it. Can you request specific rooms, and if so - what are good fireworks views for a one bedroom? I seem to remember someone else asking a similar question about two bedrooms, so I'm hoping for the same type of info. Thanks!!

my room was a studio - 561 - but I think a 1-bedroom was on the other side.

it was close to elevators (not the main ones) - we were very happy with this room!!!

We just got back from a week at BCV. We're OKW members since 1994 but decided to try something different. We were in 446 (1 bedroom which had a pretty decent view), but the best Epcot views on that floor (IMHO) would be in rooms in the 450s to 470s (odd numbers).

Accomodations were nice but honestly, we've been spolied by OKW where the 1 bedroom is about 25% - 35% larger. I will say this, the location of BCV is great given the walking distance to the Boardwalk and the back entrance to Epcot.

Have a great trip!

Be careful what you wish for. Rm 548 - 1Br had a perfect view of Epcot Ball but an even more perfect view of the back of Future World, including AC units on the roof and trash dumpsters in the distance. And I agree with RonH - we are spoiled by the size of OKW accomodations. We (wife & 2 13 yo) were cramped in a 1Br at BCV. Although the resort is beautiful, you can't beat OKW. Knowing that WLV's are about the same size of BCV, I just finished changing a Thanksgiving stay at WLV to OKW.

I do appreciate the advice so far on the rooms. As I mentioned, we have stayed at BCV twice last year in a one-bedroom and absolutely loved it there. I just didn't know where the fireworks views were. I've always wanted to try OKW also (as we are), but BCV is our home and we do love the place! We think the size is great because so far we've only had regular hotel rooms to compare to!

Cheyita, although PJMPA and I do prefer OKW, you bring up a very good point. Compared to a normal hotel room, the BCV 1 bedroom is great. I'm sure I'd feel the same way if that was my first vacation club resort stay rather than OKW.

cheyita.... There are several 1 bedrooms with good firework views. Room #s 529, 429 and 420 will have a good fireworks view and a view of the woods wetlands, they are also close to the main elevators. These rooms will not see spaceship earth.

Room #s 546, 548, 557, 446, 448, 457, 465, 471, and 473 will have good fireworks views, good views of spaceship earth and also have a view of the road. Some people feel the road is a problem and some don't. Our family didn't have a problem with the road at all. The room #s #57 and higher are further from the main elevator, but closer to the 2nd elevator.

Several people on this board will reccomend that you don't ask for a specific room number though. They feel it is better to request a specific location such as Epcot view, close to elevators.

try 220,320 420, Ijust stayed in a studio 422 which was right next door and I had great fire works views. their close to elevators too.
