Upstairs from Chefs de France is a charming Belle Époque dining room

Im just hearing about this ??? Does this exist?? :confused3

Is anyone familiar with this dining room?? Ever eaten there?? :confused3

Have never been there but it is Bistro de France (something like that anyway). From what I have read it is very different from the downstairs restaurant. Quiet and relaxing for people who are not in a hurry. Would like to try it someday.

Bistro de Paris. It's an intimate restaurant, no kids menu, leisurely service, nice atmosphere, and a dress code. Great if it's what you are looking for, it's not a typical theme park restaurant.

ducklite...

Thanks...Thinking about trying it.

Would it be a good place for a special anniversary dinner and would I go through Disney Dining for ressies??

Thanks in advance :wave2:

We ate there in March, I believe, the food was quite good, the staff was attentive and we enjoyed our meal. I would eat there again, it had been a while since we had frequented that restaurant and periodically we like to revisit restaurants from our past.

I just booked this for my upcoming trip. I have had lunch downstairs in Chefs de France and was unimpressed. I am hoping that this one is better. However, my DU agent informed me that Bistro is NOT on the dining plan. Just as an FYI.

I found the Bistro de Paris to be lovely on every level. A great break from the parks.

The Bistro is wonderful. DH and I have eaten there several times. I still have a great memory of an awesome steak I had there a number of years ago...about 2 inches thick and so tender you could cut it with your fork! YUM! It is the perfect place for an Anniversary Celebration or a celebration for any special occasion.

Yes, you go through Disney Dining to make ADR's. ::MinnieMo

My wife and I dined at the Bistro de Paris and were not overly impressed. I believe this is strictly a personal preference. The atmosphere was peaceful and the sevice very good. The prices are on the high side.
We preferred the Chefs de France; but, once again, it is a matter of preference and probably worth a try if you are in the mood for an "upscale" French meal.

Is Bistro more authentic French Cuisine than Chefs? Chefs was far too Americanized for our tastes....

Unless things have changed a lot in the last year then Chef's isn't Americanised at all. The food, decoration and staff/service are about as close as you can get to a Cafe/Brasserie in Paris without actually being there. (We live very close to France, visit it often, and my Wife lived in Paris for over 5 years.)

Bistro de Paris is a fine dining restaurant, serving what I would call modern French cuisine. It's not traditional French food like downstairs, but French cooking isn't just traditional recipes.

In our opinion Bistro de Paris is one of the best French restaurants we have ever been to.
