:yay:

Going to Disney in two weeks!!! What type of transportation is there from Epcot to Animal Kingdom back to Epcot? We are driving our car, so would it be better to travel by car from park to park. Or should we use other ways of transportation?

:welcome: to the DIS boards!!!!
You should be able to get a bus from Epcot to AK and then back again.

I have heard that the bus system is really not that great. Is there a boat that goes from Epcot to Animal Kingdom?

Buses are just fine. They involve some wait time. You will find people that really like the buses (like me) because you don't have to worry about driving or navigating your way around Disney property. Others like to drive because they get there quicker. To each their own.

I suggest looking at this web site to familiarize yourself with the Disney transport system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney_Transport

We didn't have trouble with the buses. It would be more of a hassel to drive from park to park (traffic)and you will have to pay for parking.

Are you staying at a Disney Resort? If you aren't I'd definately drive from Epcot to Animal Kingdom. You'll want your car at the park where you are at the end of a long day. You'll only have to pay for parking once. The fee is good for the entire day and is transferable from park to park. Maybe I'm biased. The only park we don't drive to is the Magic Kingdom and we usually stay on-site. If you're staying at a Disney resort parking is free at the parks with your resort parking pass.

I am not staying onsite, but we are starting out with breakfast at Epcot and then spending the day at Animal Kingdom. From there we plan to go back to Epcot to see Illuminations. I have heard the buses take a long time. I don't want to spend half my day waiting for a bus. So maybe I should drive.

Welcome to the Magic Kingdom

Waiting for a disney bus is part of the magic. Will it ever get there or not.

Actually really not that big of a deal and I am not a disney-maniac type.
