Hey fellow disney lovers!
Love Epcot?Have kids? Here are some of our family's favorite attractions.

1.Our bro's all time favorite ride is Space ship earth, the only problem is it's slow, and dark,so maybe re-think that.
2.For older kids,Test track(Be perpared to scream)is fun,and so is Honey I shrunk the Audience.(Little kids will get scared easly.)
3.A great way to cool off is in Ice Stations cool. There's a really bitter pop,but I can't tell you where from!:p
4.In the pavillion, there's a great boat ride in Mexico to just cool off.
5.If you want to scream, then go to Maelstrom in Norway.

Hope these tips are useful!!::MickeyMo

Journey into the Imagination is a must, as is Food Rocks (if it's still open). World Showcase is our favorite though. It's a nice break from the theme park atmosphere of the rest of WDW. We like just walking around with the toddlers in their strollers and stopping for the different performances. The Viking Boat in Norway is fun to play on. There's a train in Germany and a maze in UK (?). We love the open spaces of the pavilions and the Kidcot stations.

Now that DD is a little older (5) she is really enjoying what she learns. We had her keep a journal about the things she learned at WDW.

There were so many at EPCOT mommy had to help her write.

For warm weather visits, I can't say enough about how wonderful the interactive fountains are for kids! Our preschool-age boys probably spent a total of at least 2 hours playing in those fountains during one of our Epcot days! It allowed them to cool off and also to run off some of the energy they'd built up riding in the stroller through World Showcase, and waiting for Mom or Dad during baby swaps on Test Track and Mission: Space.

Swilphil: Food Rocks is still open as of last week.

My list:

1.) the playground in Norway... my kids had a blast there.
2.) the minature trains in Germany,
3.) Kidstop "masks"
4.) meeting the characters, especially the Genie in Morocco
5.) the Princess breakfast in Norway
6.) the drum performance in Japan, so much so that we had to see it twice.
7.) Innoventions, especially the cars... the kids like to play inside them and pretend to be the driver
8.) Immagination and the Imagination play area,
9.) Cranium Command
10.) The Wonders of Life 'stations', including the little shows
11.) the sealife at the Living Seas
12.) the fountain "show" to music and lights, shown every 15 minutes.
13.) Food Rocks
14.) playing the drums in the Outpost
15.) the street show in Great Britain... it's silly, but the kids loved it
16) Illuminations, now that they're a bit older and arent' scared of the noise
17.) The moving "statue" in Italy
18.) Spaceship Earth... we did this multiple times since it's open until 9pm...

The nice thing about the World Showcase is that you can enjoy many shows without having to take your kids out of the strollers, so they can nap if they need to without parents missing out on some entertainment.

It makes me sad to hear that many people avoid Epcot because "it's not for kids" when there is sooooo much there for kids to enjoy.

My DD8 also liked decorating a mask at the Kidcot stops as well as filling out her Epcot passport (kids add stickers to each country's page, then the CM at the Kidcot stop writes a message and stamps the book). We also enjoyed finding a new food to sample in each country.

I would recommend seeing Epcot in bits and pieces over a few days if your schedule allows. We went to Epcot four different times on our latest trip. We spent the mornings at a different theme park or water park doing rides, then enjoyed an afternoon at a more leisurely pace strolling around World Showcase.

That Passport is the best! My son loved that & the Masks at Kidcot.....

I guess I was lucky, Max always loved Epcot - In fact, he ranks it tied with MK as his favorite - has been that way since he was 3.5 years old (he's 15 now) When he was little, it was because of the dinosaurs at UoE....

My DD8 also liked asking at each Kidcot stop, what they call Mickey in their Country. FYI, many are Mickey Mouse but some are not. She got a real kick out of that.
