About how much time do you spend in each country?

Just curious. Shopping time included!

It varies for us. We spend a lot of time in Japan, but very little in..say, Morocco.

We spend anywhere from 0 minutes to an hour in one country. If we are having a sit down meal in one it is of course even longer. Also depends if we decided to play Agent P and look around or if we are just getting to something else.

The performers we want to see in each country impact the time, obviously. Take those out of the picture and I could see us spending about an equal amount of time in each. We could easily kill at least an hour in each pavilion.

It can really vary. If the Japanese drummers or British band are performing, I'll watch a set. Sometimes I'll catch the movie in France as it is sit down and sometimes the American adventure. We'll always do the Mexico boat ride at least once. Germany I'll walk in, buy some gummi bears and leave. But the amount of time can vary fro trip to trip depending on the entertainment that day.

There is no set time per country. They are all quite different. For our next trip, I promised the family a leisurely vacation (for once). We will go to Epcot over the course of 2 days. The first day we will start our way around World Showcase at 12:30 or so, and plan to make it halfway, (or a bit more) around the circuit by the time of our 7:20 ADR. So that would be about 6 hours for half the counties, (including the American Pavilion and its rather long show). On our second day at Epcot, we will arrive at 10:30 or so; use our FPs in Future World, and head to WS around 1:30 or so, and do the rest of the countries from then until our 7:00 ADR. So that would be another 5 or so hours. Also, Flower/Food and Garden will be taking place, so that will slow down our pace from what it normally is. But all tolled, we are talking about 11-12 hours.

A "day" (6-12 hours,) per WDW trip, in World Showcase.

Each "country" will take a different amount of time, depending on the attractions, the shops, the restaurants, and your specific interest in each.

I agree with Robo. We usually take a "day" in World Showcase. Arrive right at 11a.m. and make our way around until Illuminations, which we grab a space for at about 8pm. So 9ish hours to tour. Very true that it depends on what you want to take in. Some of the countries we spend maybe 15 minutes--others close to an hour or more for dining and attractions.

We usually do EPCOT twice per visit - 2 full days. One will be more focused on the rides, with a few hours spent in the World Showcase, and the other day spent almost exclusively in the World Showcase.

Wow. Interesting. I had no idea what to think.
We are having lunch at Marrakesh because my DD (7) wants to see the belly dancers. Waiting to hear about the new Frozen ride at Norway.

I can definitely see us spending up to an hour in each country.

Is there a favorite things in Epcot thread? This is what I am looking forward to the most!

I think our Epcot day will be the day we don't head back to FW in the afternoon. It's too far.

We always get on EPCOT around 9AM and then we do the Future world until 12PM or 1PM. Then we spend the rest of the day at the World Showcase.
We usually do 3 rounds around it:
1) for the pictures
2) for the stores and attractions
3) to decide where to eat, to eat, and then wait for the Illuminations :)

We don't spend much time at all in the World Showcase, even less if you take away meal time. Shopping for trinkets (mostly all made in China) does not interest us and the shows are great, but nothing that is on my "have to do" list for a WDW trip. For our last trip last month, we were in Epcot 1 full and 2 partial days out of 10 day trip and spent about 2 hours in the world showcase that did not involve a meal or eating. The draw to this part of Epcot still mystifies me.

For me, it is all about the time I spent there as a kid. I do not remember anything at all about the MK except for my dad taking pictures of people running in Main Street in the pouring rain.
But I remember EPCOT and I remember going to all the little countries. I had not left the US at that point -- and heck, that was probably my first or second time out of WV (vacations as a kid were camping so it was HUGE for us to go to Disney. HUGE.). So for me it's all about that childhood magic. I'm so excited. I think it's why I love to travel so much now. It was like a tasting menu of the whole world.

I go to WS every single day of every single trip, I have an AP so PH is a must for me. If it's during F&W I'm usually there from at least noon until around 8 for at least 4 days, usually 5. I'll go to the other parks in the morning then head over, but I do a lot of the little seminars. If it's during F&G, usually it's anywhere from 2 to 4 hours per day. If no festival, (frankly I can't remember a time in the past 4 years when I haven't been for one if not both of those festivals) I may hop over for a hour or two each night. We usually do one day that is a wine tasting day, which means we are in Germany, France and Italy for at least a half hour to hour each. If it's a snack around the world instead of buying a real meal day, we'll spend at least 1 1/2 hours at the margerita bar in Mexico then spend most of the afternoon going from country to country getting something at their QS places.

This! We almost always have at least lunch there one day and dinner there once or twice over a trip (hopping over from another park). The time we spend in each country varies based on what we are doing but there is plenty to see and do. I also like to take a lot of pictures in this area - as there are some really neat shots.
