Epcot - Thursday or Monday?

Deciding on which day to go to Epcot. Thursday has an after hours event and Monday has extended evening hours. Which one affects the day more?

Epcot after hours was awesome. I’d say enjoy the day Monday and go to after hours Thursday but since that’s not an option. I’m leaning towards the Monday since a lot of the after party crowd will come in early

I would go Monday. EEH shouldn’t have an effect on your visit.

Mondays almost always seem busier, but that's just our experience and my observation. We typically go on Monday and another weekday to take advantage of the extended hours and the second day for a more relaxing visit.

Unfortunately, the impact of after hours events don’t have the same impact as say the Halloween party at MK. People who buy a one day ticket to Epcot on a day with after hours still get a full day from 9-9, so I don’t see why the event would have much impact on crowds during regular hours. The EEH hours might though. Deluxe guests without hoppers will likely go there on that day perhaps increasing crowds throughout the day. If you’re a deluxe guest and you have hoppers, def go there for the EEH.

With all that said, go on the day that makes the most sense for you and your party. Develop a park plan and try to execute it as best you can (but also realize that nobody’s park plan goes exactly as they scheduled!).

Neither of those events affect day guest crowds. Pick whatever day is convenient. My only EP rule is no Friday afternoon through Sun.
