Has anyone done this tour that can give information on what you actually get to do during the tour? Is it worth the $100 per person fee? Would like to set it up for Hubby & I during our May trip as a surprise for Hubby. Would love to do the Dive tour but even though we are both certified divers, I don't have good bouyancy(sp) control. I don't know if they would let you do the dive if this is a concern. Any one know about this ?

i have done the aqua seas tour 4 times now and love it each time. you start off meeting with the guides and get your t-shirt size taken. after everyone is gathered you take a backlot tour of the living seas.

you tour:
the filteration system
dolphin area,
manatees (sp)
and the inside of the aquarium.

during the tours you get some great facts on the living seas as well as disney's efforts of wild life perservation (because money from the tour goes to that :cool1: ).
after the tour, you sit down and watch a video that gives an overview of the dive and the equipment. everyone changes into the wet suit and get taken upstairs to the aquarium. you have to walk through the public so everyone gets you see you in sometime unflattering suit.
the dive is really awesome!!! you spend 30-45 mins in the water. you can only float on top but you are still given a scuba mask and tank. the faster you get the equipment on and your picture taken the longer time you have out there. you have a lot of great views of the fish since you get to swim everywhere but near the dolphins. last time we got to see the sea turtles :woohoo: !! and the kids that are viewing the area love to wave at the divers and i dont know how many pictures will be taken, you get to be a celebrity for a half hour

at the end you recieve: a t-shirt, photo of you before the dive, and information about the disney wildlife preservation

I am thinking of doing this with DD11 in 3 weeks.
A few questions:

You don't go all the way under, you just float along the top of the water?

How close to you do the sharks get? :scared1:

Is it really fun, worth the money?

Will an 11 year old girl enjoy it, or may the 'tour' parts bore her?

Can my Mother watch it from the Coral Reef restaurant? Or is there somewhere better for her to watch us?
What time would we be in the tank for her to watch us?

thanks!
