Hello, I am thinking about possibly attending D23's Epcot's Flower and Garden event if I get can tickets. Because the Florida resident rates are out and we know the dates I have French Quarter booked May14-17. The Epcot Deluxe resorts are too pricy for us this trip BUT don't Saratoga Springs and Old Key West give you a walkway as well? Then I heard someone say something about the Swan too? I'm in a wheelchair so we'd love a walkway to get to Epcot so we don't need to drive but depending on the price, we may just go for a moderate since we are also planning a December trip...just wanted to make sure I got the right hotels since disneyworld.com is confusing with walkways...

You can walk to Epcot from the Swan and Dolphin, but Saratoga is near Downtown Disney and Old Key West is pretty secluded, so you'd still need bus transportation to Epcot.

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe you can follow various walkways to get from OKW to Downtown Disney (but surely not to Epcot).

You should definitely check into discount prices at Swan/Dolphin. I have always been able to find a great discounted price. Sometimes I have to call directly instead of using the website to get a discount. At S/D you'd be able to walk or take a boat to DHS and Epcot and have the beautiful grounds around BW. I'm 99% positive the boats are wheelchair accessible.

Yes, the boats from the Epcot resorts are accessible.

It helps to see all the resorts on a map like this one. My family got spoiled staying at the Disney Beach Club Villas, by renting through a DVC member. Being able to walk into Epcot's World Showcase was a treat.

Thanks everyone for all of these information. Right now, I am going to stick with what I have because of price.

The Swan & Dolphin are my favorite resorts, and I love being able to walk (or take the boat) to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

SSR and OKW are Downtown Disney Area resorts. There are no pedestrian ways to Epcot from there. That also includes POR and POFQ.

Caribbean Beach is considered an Epcot Area Resort, and this was debated recently as to whether you could walk to Epcot. Although there are no official pedestrian walkways out of the resort, there IS a walkway along Buena Vista drive that leads to the Hess station and the Boardwalk area, that has a crosswalk across BVD to Victory Way, which then abruptly ends there on the corner - a crosswalk to nowhere. If you're willing to "walk on the grass", you can get there, but its a long walk.

The only official "walking" resorts to Epcot would be YC, BC, Boardwalk and the Swan/Dolphin.
