Epcot resort area options without advance notice

I've just booked a last minute trip. We'll be staying at the YC, and would prefer to be able to walk or boat (not bus) to meals. What are some good outside of the parks options that might still be available less than a month out?

Flying Fish and Yachtsman Steakhouse are worth trying as they both great! We also like Cape May Cafe for breakfast and dinner.
It's not one of our faves, but the Captain's Grille should be easy to get into.

We love Fulton's Crab House at Down town Disney area. We also enjoyed T-Rex at DTD. They have water taxi's to DTD.

The Epcot area resorts have a lot of good options and if you're willing to check the online reservation system frequently, I think you stand a pretty good chance of getting an ADR at this point (although, it does depend on your party size and when you want to eat). Of the Epcot area resort restaurants, I like Flying Fish. I generally agree that while not one that I really liked, Captain's Grille never seems that hard to get. ESPN and Big River Grille do not take ADRs in the traditional sense, so those might be options. Also, the Swan and Dolphin venues seem to be easier to get into.

We have had great luck getting in last minute at flying fish and blue zoo. I haven't eaten at the others but I'd imagine most of the swan and dolphin options would have availability.

There are no water taxis from YC to DTD. I think you are thinking of POR and POFQ.

You have tons of options within walking and boating distance including all of the restaurants at YC/BC, BWI, Swan/Dolphin, EP and DHS. Just this year, we have had luck walking up and being seated quickly at Capt. Grille (lunch), Fresh (lunch), Kimono's (2 dinners) and Big River Grille (lunch). We have also gotten last minute reservations at Il Mulino and bluezoo. If you want to eat at a Swan/Dolphin restaurant, you are better off calling them directly than going on the WDW site. I think you will find there is still availability at most of the resort restaurants. If you want to venture into EP, Rose and Crown, Monsieur Paul and Chefs de France are very close to the IG entrance, so you won't have to walk far.

Why not just go on the reservations site and look what's available?

I can tell you there's still tons of tables for 6/19-27...the last time I looked...probably 3 days ago

I loved Captain's Grille! I thought the food was really good and we were able to get last minute reservations. I never hear much about the place, so I zero expectations going in, but we're big fans and go every trip.
