EPCOT Question

So when I was about 2, my family went to disney world. it was either 82 or 83 and epcot had recently opened. There are a ton of pictures of me with these huge dolls. I am pretty sure the dolls were in epcot, but they might have been in MK.

does any one here know what I am talking about?!?!

The huge dolls were part of a procession they used to do around World Showcase. This was before the characters were really "allowed" at Epcot, and the international dolls were the meet & greet characters for the park. Similar dolls were used in the Spirit of America parade at MK as well.

I have a picture of myself with one of the dolls- in China!! I'm looking at it as I type this. It was our first trip to WDW, in 2/83.

oh ok, i was wondering how long those dolls were there, because i have mentioned it to a few different "disney lovers" and none of them knew anything about the dolls. thanks.
