But seriously, I didn't even know that was a thing, that the phone booths worked. I normally would just stand in there to take the picture with the phone in my hand. Like I'm really in London (by the way, been to London. Never used the pay phone.)

we had lots of fun, my husband does a great British accent. when people would answer he would ask if they were enjoying their stay in England or ask if they had seen the queen mum yet today. he would tell ladies they looked mighty spiffy in that sun dress today (or whatever they were wearing. we would be far enough away to see them but they couldn't see us. it was fun many times you would hear them talking about how it must be more Magic from Disney, like Push the talking trash can

I've called from home and from Epcot - so much fun! I guess I haven't thought about the phones in a long time because I had no idea they were disconnected.
