Epcot or HS On July 3?

I'm trying to decide on where to go to spend that day... Crowd and firework wise what would you do?

We are doing our very first July 4th week in Disney this year. We are opting to deal with the crazy at Magic Kingdom on July 3rd to view the special fireworks that day, and then maybe EPCOT for July 4th. I'm not sure my husband (who hates crowds) will enjoy it but we plan to make the best of it!

I'd go to Epcot on the 3rd. TP.com has DHS crowds lower on either side of the 3rd--significantly lower on the 4th.

Predicting DHS to be low crowds on the 4th?:rotfl2:
I was there in 2012 and 2013 and had fun, (you need to FP the rides and then you are just doing shows to pass time before the fireworks) but would never call it low crowds.

How are the 4th Fireworks at HS?

Note I said "lower," as in projected lower than on the 3rd. I haven't been in WDW on the 4th, but I'd say there's no such thing as low crowds for any WDW park on the 4th.

With the live band playing, (was under the hat) they are more fun (and have more cowbell!) than the normal, dramatic Disney show.

They set off a ton of shells. And go all out, but they do seem to overwhelm the amount of space available in the sky for the show and the ground (for the crowd.)

Nice .. trying to decide on whether to do epcot or HS the 4th.. Would seem that HS would have less room.. Especially if the are right in front of the theater..

I (obviously) loved the DHS 4th of July show in 2012, but 2013 was more crowded. And now, with the Frozen summer, DHS fireworks is not as rare of an experience, so I have a harder time reccomending DHS.

DAK for rides in the morning and a dinner and fireworks in EPCOT would be a safer bet.
