Epcot Opening Time

Hi! I know that for a good while Epcot (just like HS) has been having a soft opening at 8:35-8:45 AM. Well, my client was there the other day (I am a travel agent) and she said the park did not open at all until 9:00 sharp. Has anyone else had this happen? Is this a new pattern? Thank you! Is the IG opening at the same time as the Main Gate? I need to know before my trip NEXT WEEK!

I've never experienced Epcot opening earlier than 9:00, except for EMH obviously.

The IG opening depends on the CM. Sometimes they'll let you in at 8:55, and others not until 9:00. One way or the other, they make sure that you're behind everyone else in line for all the money you shelled out to stay so close to the park.

With the exception of EMH, I have only had Epcot open before 9am once. It was Christmas Eve and they called it a magical moment. They let everyone who was there before 8:30 in and made everyone who got there after 8:30am wait until 9am. I have also not experienced HS opening before 9am. However, I typically only go when they have EMH so maybe they don't open any earlier when they are already opening an hour early???

On my trip in Dec, Epcot opened at 8:48. I was riding Soarin' for a 2nd time just shortly after 9. I have read a few of the Anna/Elsa threads and folks have stated the IG does NOT open early and by the time they get to Norway it's already a 3 hr wait.

Main gates opened at 850 on Monday February 24

IG has not been letting anyone in until 9, even if the main get lets them in earlier.

It for sure did not open any before 9 on Feb 21. That was the morning of the 5K.

I was there last week and like the pp said it opened at 850 on Mon Feb 24. On Thurs Feb 27 we went back to Epcot and it opened about 845am. Typically it seems it depends on the staff but normally opening 845-9am.
