Epcot Opening at 8:30am?

I sure hope so, never done the breakfast but had it booked for our cancelled April 2020 trip and was really looking forward to it.
I miss Garden Grill breakfast. I actually made the cinnamon sticky bread recipe from Deni's Saturday snacks. It wasn't quite as good as the restaurant. I think the cinnamon spread didn't harden correctly, maybe due to the margarine I used. Next time I will use butter instead of the margarine called for by the recipe. Plus, it didn't initially rise like I would have wanted but it got there eventually and the texture was fine after it cooked. The recipe uses "cake yeast" which isn't common, and I had to do a conversion for dry yeast which I don't think worked quite right. Also, I think the temperature of the milk from the recipe was too low to get the yeast going, and our house was cold that day.

We're going to Epcot on March 21st and March 23rd. Hours are still listed as 10:00 a.m. for that. That's a busy spring break week too. Wonder if hours will change. I have touringplans watching those dates for me too.

They're probably 4-6 days away from potential adjustments to hours that week, based on recent changes. It seems likely Disney will want to continue extending hours, especially with how busy March is likely to be.

I can guarantee you that they will change. Look at what they have done so far for earlier weeks in March. I be that they are expecting pretty large crowds. Some days have already been sold out from a reservation standpoint.

Does that mean all of Epcot or just Future World for the early opening?

We are headed there this Sunday. Wonder why the super early opening?!
  1. Disney reads the DIS forums and knows how many people are unhappy now?
  2. Disney has been able to ramp up staffing and keep things open longer?
  3. Disney is testing out some ideas in anticipation of opening GOTG:CR in May?
  4. You fill in this blank....

Epcot has had a single opening time for both sections since the parks reopened in 2020. The 8:30 AM time applies to both. Festival food booths may not open that early, however - I think they've been opening at 11.

Thanks for the heads up!! :thumbsup2 Going this Saturday (3-5) & had planned on rolling in at 9am. Looking at the positive the traffic will be easier earlier!

So do you think the World Showcase will be open at 8:30? I can not find an answer to this question anywhere! I want to get there for ETPE at 8 via International Gateway, do Remy first thing, then hit the WS. But not if nothing is open! Anyone know?

No, most of the stores and the food booths in the World Showcase still open at 11:00. (I’m here today.) Some things are open earlier - the pyramid, for Three Caballeros; the Kawai: Japan’s Cute Culture exhibit in Japan was open around 10am, but the store was not; the Fez House was open to look in and Jasmine was greeting people in Morocco, but no stores were open besides the little food stand that sells mint tea and pastries. The only Flower and Garden booth open in WS is the Encanto-themed one because it serves breakfast arepas; Les Halles is open - the line was bigger than I have ever seen it, the wine store and perfume store were open. Basically WS is open for Remy, Frozen, Three Caballeros, Beauty & the Beast singalong and anything associated with them - like the stores you walk through at the end.

Was just at Epcot this past Friday for an 8:30a opening. We arrived around 8:45a for our Remy iLL$ but was able to also ride Frozen with very little wait. I will say, even though most of world showcase isn't open, it's really nice walking through an uncrowded park and just taking in the topiaries and sites.

If you do plan to RD Remy, your best bet to avoid a long line is to get to the IG before 8am.
