Maybe I read things differently than you, but the trend I am am seeing is of you click 1 or more before you got a 16-20 min wait time for most. Those who clicked 1 hour an under got closer to 10 minutes or less. We can agree to disagree if it matters or not.In other words, it's random as they said it was ... which is as fair as it can be, I suppose.
That’s seems to be why my phone put me 1 minute ahead of my computer. It stuck to my original Que time but just refreshed different speeds. It might also have to do with the refresh timing rate.
Like if it refreshes to the server every 15 seconds, then someone refreshed at 10:59;51 will be better off than someone last refreshed at 10:59:59? And Im nit sure if/how to control something like that.

I wish they would actually give an advantage according to how long ago your qualifying reservation was made. So members that booked right at the 11 month window and 7 month window and then MM happened to be during their trip would have an advantage over members who booked reservations after MM was announced solely hoping for a MM spot. Those members IMO should have to wait until general registration
Have a date that nobody wants to book? Eh just give 'em a moonlight magic that dayI agree and have thought about this. Maybe they sometimes use the dates to shift demand though?
I jumped in 8 minutes before it opened and got a 5 minute wait time.I'm curious if the initial wait times are handed out randomly or if there is any correlation between when you joined the waiting room and what your initial wait time was. I joined the waiting room 15 minutes ahead of time and got an initial wait time of 21 minutes. Did anyone who joined the waiting room after that get earlier wait times, or anyone who joined the waiting room very early get long wait times?
Making it random makes more sense to me than someone joining the waiting room hours ahead of time being at the end of the line.
I don’t think they go to the end of the line but I don’t think they go ahead of everyone who joins right at 11 am.
I think at 11:00 am everyone gets randomized and then once all the pre 11 am and 11 am people have spots, then it goes to the end of the line process.
It's supposed to be entirely random. No matter when you join the waiting room, everyone is assigned a random position in queue when registration opens.
In other words, it's random as they said it was ... which is as fair as it can be, I suppose.
It's not nearly as fair as it can be. If they actually want it to be, they should accept a form for sign-ups ahead of time from everyone who is interested in going, and then pull from that list via lottery, rather than make everyone clear their schedules and stare at a screen, praying they get a spot, then clicking as fast as humanly possible to fill out a form, just to be told it's full. Screw that noise. There are tons of people who simply have no chance at tickets because they aren't able to enter the virtual queue because they can't get off of work, or have an emergency, or are on vacation, etc.
They should also assign the tickets to the names of the individuals registered on the reservation, and subsequently adjust the number of and name on tickets based on whether that reservation is subsequently modified, meaning only those actually staying in the room are allowed to attend the event.
Disney could do a lot better at this, and they should. I applaud them for at least closing the multi-device exploit in queue-it, though. Baby steps I guess.
True but to say it's "fair" is well clear of correct. I'm not trying to solve everyone's problems or make everyone happy, but I do contend the process could be a lot more fair.No matter what they do somebody will be pissed. You can please some of the people some of the time. They could do nothing at all like most timeshares with the attitude of "we've already got your money"
