Epcot Looks Run Down In Many Areas - Especially Bathrooms

I thought all the Star Wars stuff should go to Future World, over near Mission Space. Move Frozen to the Studios, leave Norway alone. We are so much more technologically advanced that was ever envisioned- it seems like this could be played up in some of the empty buildings, too. Epcot has basically been abandoned by Disney; keep Soarin, Test Trak, and Spaceship Earth in shape and nobody will notice how badly themed, outdated, and empty the rest of Future World really is.

What about the Seas with Nemo and Friends? Or Turtle Talk with Crush? I love that whole pavilion. Mousegears is my favorite store in the whole of WDW. My nephew loves Mission Space.

I have been debating if I should spend a whole day or half day on my upcoming trip in August. It will be my kids' first time to WDW. They are 8 and 4. After reading this thread, I guess I will just spend the evening at Epcot and go to water park in the morning.

That's a great plan! We usually do military salute so we get hoppers, if we don't do the hoppers next time, we would strongly consider skipping Epcot.

We saw rats in Epcot, but it was exciting. omg, look, a rat!! A lady stepped on one and it didn't make it. The other was just nibbling treats in FW.

Ahh my husband saw one when we were eating our corn dog nuggets on the backside nearer the baby center/first aid. He said "OHH!" and I said "Oh did you see a hidden Mickey?" and he replied "Well, sort of. A live one." :rotfl2:

FWIW, when we went to Epcot on February 29 of this year, every time I went to the bathroom in FW West, there was someone in there cleaning, refilling paper towels, etc.

This shouldn't impact us too much, as with my current ADR's, FP+, and relaxing at the pool, we do not have time left to spend substantial time in the restrooms. Maybe next trip. But I do feel bad for guests who were planning on partaking in all the festivities that the bathrooms have to offer, and it is not right that their plans may be affected.
