Epcot - Kidcot, Agent P

There are multiple places to get the phone for Agent P. Just get it closest to the country you want the mission to be in. Even at 5 my boys loved it and we're able to do it.

I got a Kidcot Duffy Bear stamped all around the World (being the big kid I am)... but didn't colour him until I got home (I'm fussy about my felt tip pens!! ;)) Maybe took us 5 minutes in each country to find the station and get it stamped/signed, and the colouring in was a nice task when I got home to make me smile. He's a nice souvenir too! :)

I like this idea too, maybe even telling her she could color it later in the room or something. DD's very particular about her artwork, so she'd actually agree to this, and knowing her, seeing the other kids coloring wouldn't bother her, as long as she knows she can do it on her own later.

The thing that makes Kidcot special is not just getting the global stamps from each country. My kids generally love it (even though they only color once and get stamps at every other country) because they get a chance to talk to the kids (young adults) from every country. They ask them questions about their favorite foods there, what they think of life in the US, what kids do for fun, etc. Often the students are really bored just having kids color and they really light up when people interact with them.

So I guess I don't really understand the concern about it being time consuming. I tend to think it is a waste of Epcot time to NOT interact with the representatives from other countries. :)

This is a good point, and I didn't know the CM's were from the countries they're representing - that changes things as far as how I'd like DD to interact, I'd love for her to be able to talk to the CM's. I like the idea of coloring once, and then getting the stamps as we move through, or as I said, DD might want to just color it all later on her own. We only have 1 Epcot day, so I worry about getting everything done that we want to. We want enough time in WS without feeling rushed.

So even if we don't get it going into WS, we can get it midway through if we decide to?

DD(6) is a pretty good reader, so it's good to know that will help.

Do you choose what countries to do missions in?

Do you just take it with you before entering WS and then choose what countries to do missions in?

Sorry for all of the questions, I have yet to find something online that really explains the process...I'm sure it exists, I just can't find it.

I don't recall choosing the countries, but they were all countries that were adjacent to one another and close to where we were. I think it starts the missions at countries based on where you are located. We did have to have the phone re-set by the CM's when we wanted to do a second mission. There's a main kiosk as you enter WS and then I think there were smaller ones throughout WS. The CM's are very helpful.

Wish I could remember more details, sorry! I just recall it being a lot of fun for everyone! My DH absolutely loved it! LOL

Yes. There are a few places throughout World Showcase to get the phone if you don't get it as you enter. I know there is a spot in Norway, Italy and England. I am not sure if there are more. It is easiest to get it closest to the country you want the mission to be in. They usually ask you what country you would like for the mission. I think when they give you the phone you only have a certain amount of time to begin the mission.

We brought a little spiral notebook and at the kid cot stops the CM will write a personal message to your kid and draw a small picture and stamp it. My kids like that much more then just stamping the wood handle on the craft.

What a great idea! I am making an autograph book for DD to bring, and I'm putting a lot more pages in it than she'll probably need, I should considering using that as well!
