Epcot hours question...

what is the difference between the epcot future world and epcot world showcase is...why the different hours? what are the benefits??

Future world is at the front of the park around the large "golf ball" and is where all of the "rides" and real attractions at Epcot are located like Test Track, Soarin, etc. World Showcase is in the back part of the park surrounding the water. I think World Showcase opens later because it does not have any real attractions or rides to speak of (do the water rides in Mexico and Norway count, really?). The nations' pavilions are focused on exhibits, shopping and food (restaurants). They are'nt set up for breakfast so there really isn't much point to that park opening up until about lunch time.

Well one of the main reasons is food. Like the above poster stated, most are set up for lunch and dinner. There is one place that does have a character breakfast. I believe it is in Morroco. It is the story book breakfast.

I think on my first trip in 1994, FW & WS both opened at 9:00am. I think they found that most people entering through the front gate did not get back to WS until after 11:00 so it wasn't worth having it open early.

Norway has the character breakfast.
