Epcot Fountain Becomes a Hot Tub

Meanwhile around the corner at Ratatouille a guy gets arrested for…you can Google it. The fountain folks are tame by comparison
Can’t even imagine the sign they need to post to discourage that…not very Disney friendly.

Cameras are everywhere, people!

ok just so I'm clear:

The cheer team was disqualified
the cheer team was NOT disqualified
The cheer team was disqualified-(do we have an answer on this?)
we all agree fountain water is gross
we all hate the 3 cheer parents in the fountain
we were mad at Canadians
we now love Canadians
we are now angry with the French

😂

And I read that French fries will make you depressed. No idea if it’s true. But it made me laugh.

The entire France Pavilion needs to be yellow taped IMMEDIATELY and undergo a Covid Deep Clean X 10!

There is something about it that attracts the crazies. When I was there in October 2021, this was less than two weeks after Ratatouille had opened, some CM's were rushing around because someone had written on a wall. I never saw the offense as they were quickly on it blocking view and cleaning it - I think it was minor enough that it could just be cleaned off. This thing was BRAND NEW! People are idiots. 🙄

I think what causes the bizarre stuff to happen in the France pavilion so often is the location. People come in from the front of the park, start drinking around the World at the Mexico pavilion, and in the daytime, by the time they have made it to the France pavilion, they are well and truly blitzed, and also overheated, and decide to rest before that long dry trek to the Fish and Chips shop over at the UK pavilion.

However, being stupid-drunk, they also often get stupid-drunk-brain ideas and act on them while they are there.

FWIW, I also often travel with a youth athletic team, and chaperones must agree not to drink or use cannabis during the trip, as they are on duty. (Our kids do not stay with their own parents when traveling, the athletes room together with chaperones to take charge of them. Other family members may or may not be staying in the same hotel.) Family members and friends who just come to cheer on the team don't have restrictions on drinking, etc., but we are told NOT to wear or carry any team gear if you're going to be indulging. If that group were not wearing those shirts they would have just been ordinary drunken tourists, but the shirts dragged their kids and the sponsored competition into the mix.

I don't understand how Disney can disqualify anyone from a competition. Isn't Disney just the building? They don't actually run this kind of thing right?
Disney has strict rules of conduct for any group performing on their property. My daughter danced in Disney Spring last June. We were told no costumes anywhere but the stage, so the girls had to walk from the trailers all the way to the stage on the opposite side of DS in black leggings and their team jacket over their costumes… in 100 degree heat.
